Really horrible story, and honestly, a little mad...

My coworker (boss's wife) just told me the most awful, heart wrenching story.

She came over and told me that if I think I have bad luck, that her friend's daughter, who was set to be married in September, and her shower was July 4th, her FH died in a motorcycle accident last week in the rain. Single vehicle accident, just lost control, chest first in to the guard rail, and instantly killed. Only 24 years old, my own age.

I am so besides myself right now. The poor girl. They had everything set and ready to go. He's being buried with his wedding band, and the girl cut up her dress and sewed it in to a pillow for his coffin. I can't even stop shaking right now.

I don't know why she would tell me this, if not for the sole purpose to upset me. This isn't the first time she's done something like this to me either. I'm just so upset and heart broken and terrified right now...I'm sorry since I probably shouldn't even be sharing this, but I just wanted to say because I know none of us take our FHs for granted or anything, but you just never do know, and we should all be so happy and thankful for what we have

That is terrible. The woman may not have told you this to spite you- Just going through a major loss myself I can say that sometimes the words just come out. You want to share the info and for what ever reason you say waaayy too much. The story is very sad I cannot imagine what that girl is going through.
It is so true that we should not take our FHs for granted.

Ugh what a horrible story...and what a horrible way to I guess try to make you feel 'better' about yourself. Goodness...people can be so crazy.

That *****. I worry all the time about what I'd do if anything ever happened to FH. My mom lost my dad at a young age so I guess that impacted me from when I was young. FH is accident prone and doesn't understand why I flip out when he's on a ladder or working with electrical stuff when I'm home.

Don't be angry! She probably just wants you to cherish what you have!

this is so terrible..im so sorry to hear this..we really need to value evry second we have on this earth...im sure she told u either because she jst needed to et it out or because she wanted to make u n fh vaue each tother even more

I'd really like to believe that it wasn't an intentional thing, but when my cat died, she also went really out of her way to rub it in my face about all the things her cat was doing, and how cute he was, etc. etc. etc. Like just preying on my fears, sadness, insecurities...that's why it's not the first time. Maybe she's just like that, I don't know. It's just very hard to deal with.

what a terrible story. I wouldnt see it as a way for her to get at you...I thought it wa smore of her just opening your eyes (not that you need it) to how lucky you are. Sometimes we all get so wrapped up in our planning and forget about the important things. Maybe it was one of those moments where she thought she was doing a good thing, I wouldnt be mad over it.

OMG! That is the saddest thing!!!! My heart is breaking for her!

I don't think that your bosses wife told you for any other reason but to make you realize that you (and all of us) are very lucky and we get too focused on small little things when we all could have worse problems.

I don't think she was doing anything TO you..... know what I mean?

That is terrible!! im practically in tears right now! i dont know what i would do if something like that happened to me! so sad!!

did you guys see the first episode of the wedding story ( i think thats the name) the new wedding show! well she got in a car accident 4 days before the wedding and almost died!! she lived, but i was hysterical crying thru out the whole episode!
