Really random question, but wedding related!!

Ok so my Father and I are not close at all. In fact, we barely speak and there are a lot of bad memories and hurt feelings from both side, I am sure. I have to dance with him at the wedding cuz FH is dancing with FMIL and it will look really weird if I don't. So I need a song that is nice and completely NOT FATHER DAUGHTER MUSHY! Something like Louis Armstrong 'What a Wonderful World' but not that. Do you know what I mean?? Any suggestions???

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

i think the song isnt she lovely by stevie wonder might be your best bet...its more upbeat so you wont have to do a real slow dance and feel you have to get mushy, plus the song goes well for a wedding.

I went to a wedding where the bride didnt grow up with her father and although they got along he wasnt a big part of her life so she used this song and thought it was a great idea.

I totally agree with this. Dont feel you have to do anything. But if you do, i think an 'upbeat' kind of song would do.

I'm kinda in the same situation. Dont know if Im dancing with my stepfather because my dad isnt alive etc.

So if I dance with my stepfather, probably I'll pick Eddie Money 2 tickets to paradise. he loves that song...its not father daughter-y and its an upbeat song and its perfect if you just want to have the dance without too much emotion. Besides, I would feel weird dancing to a mushy song with my stepfather....
