Really Scary Ghost Stories

Original post by AS

I just looked outside and its all gloomy and foggy and cool. Its October and Oct=Halloween=Scary!!!!!. Me ,my sisters and friends always got amused by ghost stories, scary movies, Ouija Boards etc etc . Does anyone have any good, true scary ghost story to tell? Would anyone like to share their past experiences that you might have had with ghosts or something of that sort????

Re: Really Scary Ghost Stories

When I started seeing FH, I hated his dining room. I never wanted to look in the corner, because I always felt something was there watching. To make a long story short, I was talking with his mom one afternoon, and we heard the gate from the diningroom/living room squeak as if someone was walking through. We were the only two home, and we were in the kitchen. So we started talking about the house being haunted. She told me that the lady that owned the house previously LOVED their house, and wanted to die there, but she dies in a nursing home. My FMIL is convinced that her kids spread some of her ashes in the house the day they were closing on the house. They left her ashes in the corner of the dining room. True story.

Has anyone ever been awake in your mind but your body is asleep?? I have terrifying episodes where Im screaming and it feels like Im moving my body but I cant open my eyes. And I hear voices in the room or in the other room. I have to tell myself to calm down in my head and then Im able to open my eyes and I wake up (to an empty room of course) Sometimes when it happens more than once in one night, I have to sleep holding FH's arm so if it happens I can move my finger and tap him to wake me up. Sometimes I can slightly move a finger. Its so weird, it feels like Im in another dimension but its also the most terrifying thing to go through!

that is kind of what happens to me.....except i dont know if i am awake or not.....all i know is I try to move and scream and I can't - its like I can try sooooo hard but nothing happens - like i try to bang my hand on the bed, or my foot and its like i feel myself trying but nothing happens and then all of a sudden im sitting up and scared - it feels real but i could be sleeping? and i can see too - but i cant move my eyes or head- its freaky!!

My aunt spread my great-uncle's ashes in their backyard because he loved his house a lot too. We keep telling them that when they decide to vaccate the house, the new owners will get a little freaked out because he comes back all the time.

yeah that is sleep paralysis. it is when you are in a state of sleep but your eyes could be open or closed and you can see the room etc but you cannot move, speak, scream nothing. and then all of a sudden you wake up. i learned about it in undergrad through my psych courses. never happened to me though i prob would be scared sh*tless

What's weird about this pic is that the two people sitting behind her, look as if they are seeing something scary.....

I did not eat the whole plate of cookies, lol!!!

I have many many many experiences with ghosts and whatnot... they seem to follow me around, lol... I'd follow me too, I'm pretty cool!

The funniest one was when I was baking a cake and I put it at the back of the oven to cool and I went into another room and I heard a big crash. I went back into the kitchen and my cake was about 5 feet from the oven and upsidedown on the floor.... Someone doesn't like birthdays.....lol

I watched the one at the Stanley Hotel--it creeped me out.

Of course, DH made fun the whole entire time so I keep telling him you won't be laughing when you actually see one!

Re: Really Scary Ghost Stories

Thought I would bring this back up in honor of Halloween....I have a few weird things that have happened since....
2 weeks ago FH adopted me a puppy, and we went out with friends Saturday night, his parents were also out with friends of their own.
The next morning his dad asked me if we had come home in between dinner, and the haunted house we went to. I told him no...tht we got home at 1:00....he was like 'that's weird'....he had turned on our outside light for us when they left the house AFTER us, and put on the living room light. When they got home around 10:00...our outside light was off, the living room light was on, and the light in the den was on too!
Then he asked me if I had a radio on in the bedroom to keep the puppy 'company'...I told him no....he said 'then that dog knows how to sing, because I heard music coming from up there....YIKES....my bedroom.....

Then yesterday, FH was home, he turned on the tv in the kitchen, left the room....came back and it was off.....cue creepy music....
He does not beleive in ghosts, but he can't explain it either....he was freaked out a little, but keeps telling me 'Maybe I shut it off and don't remember....' yeah....right.....

Re: Really Scary Ghost Stories

poo
i hate when people talk about sleep paralysis bc then it happens to me like THAT night and i was just looking at it on wikipedia and it is so true that it happens after a lucid dream!

I feel like it is an incomplete lucid dream, if that makes sense. Like I do things to wake myself up like I will OPEN my eyes or pinch myself or try to prove it isnt a real dream. . . but instead of waking my body up just my MIND wakes up and then it is like i am wrapped in a heavy blanket and i cant get out and i am trying to get myself to scream and i am screaming in the dream but not in real life - i HATE those dreams

after my grandma died though instead of feeling like i am in a blanket i feel like a hand is caressing my arm - i wonder if its her
