has anyone bought pictures off OFOTO? Now that I posted pics there, my new Mother-in-Law wants to buy some but she is not a member? Do I have to do it for her? How does it work.... I didn't do a great job scanning (I couldn't get them to fill up the full page/picture) so I don't know how well they will come out. Am I better off just waiting for the negatives? I didn't get her an album..... (bad daughter....)

I would just wait until you get the negatives if the scanning didn't come out great. I have ordered digital prints from ofoto and wasn't thrilled with the color. Snapfish does a better job, IMO

Re: REALLY stupid question....
I recently took pictures at a friend's wedding and posted all 121 pictures. The bride ended up sending my link to many people, who in turn ordered a slew of pictures from ophoto. No one had any complaints about the service.

Re: REALLY stupid question....
i would scan the photos in at 300 dpi and take advantage of their introductory 'free prints' to see how they come out. i have yet to try it, however know of people who have been satisfied with the quality.

Does it matter that they are not 'full-page'? If so, is there anyway I can make it so they are?
Here is the link again so you can see what I mean?
Well since they didn't scan 'full width/length' , I'm not sure I would order from ofoto. Unless they are different from Shutterfly (which is typically where I post pics) they will normally not adjust /crop the pic ... so I have a feeling the quality will be adequate at best and a waste of money in your case
Its been my experience that digital pics uploaded to these sites (ofoto, shutterfly, snapfish) are the ones that print out in the best color/clarity... or those pics that have been scanned with a high quality scanner

You have to register to purchase, I believe.

i would rescan if i were you as you ideally want to have the print settings to the size you want (4x6,5x7,etc.) at 300 dpi. you will not get what you are looking for with those scans...

what scanner and what software are you using? you need to adjust the settings and it varies how from scanner to scanner, software to software...
once you initiate a scan you should have a preview option. select the area you want scanned (see the dashed rectangle lines around the picture?), adjust the settings accordingly, and then hit scan - hope this helps a bit...
