REALLY? UGHHHHHH

REALLY? UGHHHHHH

So in the last day or two, I have a few issues:

1. Wording on my Invites;
FH parents aren't really helping, FH mother passed away. His dad remarried.
My dad is helping alot and my mother I really don't speak to. She didnt make i to my brother wedding. She got mad that he put Mr and Mrs. P. Dendrinos on the invite since they are divorced and she has a new name. But she didnt go or no help with the funding.

My dad means the world to me and I dont want to insult FILs bying putting my dad name only, and I think *Togther with their parents.. is too general'

2. Favors:
I am Jewish but my dad is greek. We will have both kind (LOL) of people at the wedding. I wanted to do a candy bar as the favor. and my dads turns around go Greek are giving u money for CANDY?!? and apparently jewish wedding don't have favors?

Really?

I am doomed

Sorry vent over !!!1

You could do something like:
Mr. P. Dendrinos [and Mrs. Your Mom's new name, if you want]
invite[s] you to celebrate the marriage of his/their daughter
Your Name
to
Your FH's name
son of Mr. and Mrs. His Dad & Stepmom and the late His Mom

I like this option...I will probably do something similar since FH's dad isn't helping but still want him on the invite probably.

For favors....honor traditions if you want to honor them, but it's YOUR wedding so you should do what you want and make your own traditions. I like the candy idea (so fun!!), so if you are really set on it just do it.

I say decide what you think is the right thing to do since it's your wedding and just do it! In the end the people who love you will be there supporting you no matter what you decide.

this is what i would do.

Michele when we did our invites, i didnt even go by who was paying for it. Jon's parents really didnt pay for anything.... just invites and the rehearsal dinner, and some of the shower. Jon wanted his paretns name on the invite so thats what we did.

also jon's father that is on the invite isnt his real father, but hes been there since he was 3 so to jon that is his dad. He didnt want his biological fathers name on the invite. he was invited tho. all that just makes it even more crazy to figure out!

and as for favors tell mister Peter that candy is fine!!!! lol

Re: REALLY? UGHHHHHH

i had the same problem with my parents my mom is divorced and remarried and i do not like my step dad so what FH and i did was ' you are cordially invited to celebrate the wedding of Courtney Denise De Marco and Kenneth Henry Babcock. I hope this helps and you could have favors just to give something away or what my friend did was a donation in our names to a charity.
