Really Upset All of a Sudden

I just looked out in the backyard and saw all the snow, and thought of my baby underneath all of it.

I was doing pretty good lately until now. Now not so much.

I know he's really not there, and his spirit is in heaven...but just the thought of his physical body being in the cold under the snow and ice makes me want to crawl into a ball and never come out

Thanks girls. I don't want to trivialize in any way shape or form the losses or hardships that other girls are going through/have gone through. I feel guilty sometimes...but for me, this is a traumatic loss. And it's just so hard, and I'm so sad, and having such a rough time with it.

I tried to just imagine God putting a blanket over him to keep him warm and it made me feel a little better.

Trust me, I know how you feel. My family adopted our dog Max when I was 17 years old. He died when I was 29. It tore me apart because he was MY dog.
My dad had buried him in the backyard and I wept like nobodies business. I grieved for him for a long time. It's ok to be sad. It's perfectly normal. It took me a while to realize that Max wasn't there anymore. Take your time to grieve.

Aww I'm so sorry. Just keep thinking that he knows his whole life that you loved and cared for him and that'll keep him warm forever. I've lost 4 cats and it never gets easier. Just keep remembering the joy he brought you and remember he doesn't have to suffer anymore.

You know, it's the weirdest thing-- I find that every cat I adopt somehow channels the spirit of one I lost in some way or another and it makes me feel better when I get sad about it. Eventually it wont sting too much and you can open your heart to another baby in need that will make sure they take care of you!!

Just try to keep your chin up and don't ever feel guilty! Angel was a part of your family and still is just like anyone else!!
