Really Upset - Royal Carribean just cancelled our HM cruise!!
I'm so upset right now!! Thought the HM was all taken care of. Just got an email that RCCL has decided to 'redeploy' that ship to the Carribean ***???? We have already been to the Carribean. I have no freakin idea what to do!! I am so upset right now!!!!!

Fortunately you have plenty of time to work this out. Is the cruise fully refundable? Does another cruise line do the itinerary you wanted? Let us know the details and we'll help you find something great!

Did you have travelers insurance? can you change it around without any cost to you??

They can just do that? I have a million questions now! It's true - at least you do have some time to work this out - but UGH - to have to deal with this again! I am so sorry!

We only left a small deposit - and since it's RCCL's decision to 'redeploy' they have to give us our $$ back. They didn't give a reason - just redeploying to the Carribean (which I find odd - it's October - isn't that hurricane season). The only reason I could think - maybe b/c on the war they don't want to be out on the Ocean. Who the freak knows?? The ship is now going to HI on 12/07 if I want to push back my HM! I don't think so!! They did offer $300 credit if we agreed to go on different ships on different days.
There is a Norweigan cruise to HI - but the problem is that's leaving from HI - instead of Vancouver, so the timing is off for the flights. We could easily do the 5 hour flight to Vancouver the morning after the wedding, but I doubt we could get to HI in enough time.
The travel agent (Cruise One) is being super. He's looking for any non-Carribean cruises in our date range. I'm just so ****ed at RCC it's not even funny!!

Karen I am so sorry!! I remember us talking about cruises a while back and how excited you were! As long as you can get your money back and can find something everything will be fine.

When were you planning on going? I know ABC tours has a ton of cruises. It's a membership club, which costs about $35 to join. Since I'm a member I'd be happy to check their itineraries for you. FM me if you want me to check it out for you..

OMG what ship is that? I'm going on a Royal Caribbean cruise for my honeymoon too. I haven't heard anything. That's horrible!

It was the Radiance of the Seas - going to HI. They cancelled a bunch of the HI cruises, starting with mine on 10/26/03. When I called, they just said the itinerary wasn't popular enough, so they were redeploying the ship to the Carribean instead.

Cruises are a ton of fun and there are several ships that sail around HI, I am sure you can find a new one, have you been working with a travel agent?
