Can anyone recommend a place that sells reasonably priced bridesmaid dresses and the average cost? Please FM me if you feel more comfortable.
I really don't want to ask my girls to spend too much money for a dress that they're only going to wear once.
TIA!

You can try RK Bridal they have a large selection of designers. They also have a No Frills program (like buying online) where you are responsible for measurements and alterations, so the dresses are cheaper.
I ordered from Houseofbrides.com and pearlplace.com because the dresses were cheaper.
After Six has some really nice BM dresses. Not sure what style you are looking for but they have a few tea length dresses, that the girls could wear again.

Re: Reasonably Priced BM dresses
My girls got After Six dresses for $129 at Bridal Suite of Patchogue. We played 3 or 4 Bridal salons against each other till we got the final lowest price and lowest priced alteration caps.

Also give burton's a call. Karen said she can get whatever dress and that since she sells them wholesale, they come out cheaper. My Bill Levkoff dresses were $210 at bridal reflections and Burtons gave me a quote of the same dress at $168. If I order my dress from her, the BM's get an additional 25-30% off so it would come out to $135. Alterations for BM dresses were capped at $45. The webiste is burtonsbridals.com or you can call at 631.424.3377

Valentina's in Brooklyn have great prices for BM dresses and also give the BMs a 10% discount off the ticket price and free alternations.

I did the RK Bridal - no frills and the dresses were $98. They were Alfred Angelo.

I thought Cathy's in Lindenhurst had pretty good prices. You can also try Estelle's on Rt 110.

Re: Reasonably Priced BM dresses
RK Bridal. My girls payed $76. If you go to RK bridal, look on the internet before you purchase. The dresses were originally $110 at RK and more expensive on every other website I looked except for one website where I found it for $80. RK Bridal beats any price so they gave it to us for $76 (no frills).

www.bridaldiscounters.com - they will give you a quote via email. My BM dresses were $111 + $10 per shipping address. Macy's Bridal carries them for $189.
I felt the same way about my BM's paying alot of money. They have the alterations done where ever they want (that might be the only drawback).

Re: Reasonably Priced BM dresses
David's Bridal and they could have it altered at a seamstress if they dont want to have it altered there. My BM dresses were $100.00...thats the average price at David's.
