those were my requirements, in that order.

I knew what I was looking for... it took about 12 different places to finally find the one!
I knew the SECOND I walked into the Foyer!! Literally that second!
It had a very understated elegance to it. It was classic with a nice clean pallet that would go for ANY theme! I knew I could really do that place up!
The drive there was amazing, and the neighborhood is nice!
The room! it was sooo gorgeous! All hardwood flooring (which was important to me) with crystal chandelier's and fireplaces everywhere!
the bridal suite was actually 4 suites (the bridal suite being spacious was important to me bc my plan was for the BP to party upstairs during CH).
The menu! no set menu! basically nothing is an 'add on' or a 'package upgrade'.

Most of all... what impressed me the most... we got there on the morning of an event. It was a bar or bat mistfah (the girl one.... sorry not jewish so I'm bad with spelling and stuff)... and the staff was SOOO INCREDIBLY detail oriented and patient! They REALLY seemed to care about what they were doing. it was sooo nice to watch them while we waited in the foyer.

Thats same reason why i booked them too. Reasonable prices, great food and awesome outdoor vibe!!!

I love Swan club! The only reason we didn't book it is because my whole family got married there.

We booked Woodbury Country Club because before we checked out places, We knew we wanted lush gardens, and a gazebo by the water. Our ceremony area has just that, with the gazebo on the lake. I got a warm feeling when we walked in. The BM was friendly and made sure during our decision process that we were accomodated appropriately. Awesome food!!! Alot of value for the money. Was in the budget.

Ahh, so much.. One wedding at a time

Walking into the lobby it's so beutiful and elegant, but still had a very warm adn comfortable feel. Amazing food choices, unique.
The cocktail hour room (and food stations) are like nothing I've ever seen
The service is fantastic
All the little details - they have thought of EVERYTHING
Not that well-known/common
The bridal suite is bigger than my apartment

ETA: Yep- WAY out of budget, but once we saw it we had to have it

I couldn't stop smiling the minute I saw the rooms.

It's not the typical LI RH (walls full of mirrors), the woodwork is absolutely beautiful!

Outdoor ceremony and an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour.

The price was awesome for a Saturday night in October.

My FH turned to me and said 'I'm picturing our wedding here.' with a HUGE smile on his face.

The people that work there are AMAZING!

It's secluded and the drive up to the hall is very pretty!

It just felt like 'Us'.

-Renovated in 2009 so everything looked so new

-Close to Manhattan and LI--the idea that our city guests come to the venue on a ferry.

-How everyone we knew that had been there for dinner or a wedding said it was amazing

-It is different from our other friends that got married in Temples and hotel ballrooms

-We got the price to come down!

-big enough to hold our huge families
-had the urge to hug someone as I pulled up to it
-price was right for us (because its off season, lol)
-in love with every detail in every room
-if the weather is bad, there are plenty of places indoors for amazing pictures
-we were both so excited after the first meeting
-the whole place is 'ours', We can personalize the whole place with picture frames of us, etc.
-every time we visited, we were made to feel very welcome, they even fed us a few times, which is always a plus in my book. Even the waiters I have encountered are courteous and professional.
-i like that our guests can move around to different rooms
-we wont have to relocate for afterhours
-guests can get rooms upstairs.

Since it is a small wedding 60 people - alot of halls would not even speak to us.
When we went to the Swan Club and saw the inside of the ceremony room - and the price that they were offering us - we fell in love with it!

reason 2 I loved it. It was unique

reason 3 price I couldn't beat it

reason 4 it was in a location my mom was happy with

reason 5 the inside was beautiful so if in rain which it did I could take pictures inside

When my FH and I walked into the reception hall, we both smiled at each other. We knew this was the place for us. Here are some other reasons why we loved our RH.
- One wedding at a time.
-The large amount of food options for the sit down dinner.
-The cocktail hour room- That room blew us away.
-The crystal chandelier's that are all around the place. I
-The lobby has a beautiful fireplace where you can take some great pictures.
-The attention to the smaller details (Acqua Panna, red, and white wine on each table, and mini s&p shakers for each guest at the table) I thought this was really cute.
-I also liked the option how the sound system speakers are built into the ceiling. The music is louder on the dance floor and lower by the tables. This gives people the opportunity to have a conversation at the table rather than not be able to speak over the loud music. (if sitting closer to DJ)
-You are given the option to have guests that are unable to make the reception watch it on the website for a small additional fee. The cameras are built in the ceiling and can be broadcasted as it's taking place. You are given a password and they can access your wedding.
-The two large mahogany bars in the ballroom. In addition the one waiter for tables.
-The bridal suite is so spacious. The bridal party and I would have so much space to enjoy ourselves.
-The bed and breakfast that we were given to stay the night of our wedding as a gift for booking with the hall.

I fell in love with Oheka before I even visited. It was the 2nd out of 3 places I booked to visit, and I thought it was even more beautiful in person!

Some of the reasons:
* The venue (gardens, building, rooms)
* The food (great all-inclusive packag)
* The bridal suite (and included)
* It's French-inspired (we got engaged in Paris)
* The FEELING

We booked Leonard's As soon as I walked in, I knew! Main reasons:

- the price
- the proximity to where we're taking our photos (this was a huge factor)
- the decor - I'm an opulence/glam girl
- all the rooms we will be using...love the cocktail room, love the bridal suite, love the reception room
- the food! While they can do anything you want, we're looking for italian food primarily, so they hit a home run in this area

OFC is my dream RH. We did go over budget a little bit but it's totally worth it IMO.
