What is the reason you booked your hall? What made it stand out from the rest of the places? Did you go over your budget bc you loved the place so much and couldn't picture getting married anywhere else?

We were specifically looking for a place that could throw a vegetarian wedding.
Any place I called that wasn't gung-ho on the idea was crossed off the list before I even looked at them.
What I loved the most about my hall (Swan Club) was that when I called them for the very first time, they put me on the phone with one of the chefs who immediately threw about 15 ideas my way regarding the veggie options. That was just so awesome for me. It's important to FH and I that we not compromise our beliefs on our wedding day, but we also didn't want to compromise on the taste and variety of the food, either.
Once we went for a visit to see the place, we fell in love with it. Lots of outdoor capability, extremely reasonable prices, understanding that we want some non-alcoholic fun drinks because half of our guests don't drink for religious reasons.
Outdoor capability was huge to us, and it was one of the few places I researched that had lush grounds within our budget and wasn't too far from NYC, where most of our guests are from.
eta: We didn't go over budget at all; the SC is very affordable.

These were some of the main factors that made us book:
- Price - on the water - 1 event at a time - Lots of photo spots on location - Food is AMAZING - Staff was very nice

- Gorgeous gardens and outdoor space with the ability to do an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour which was important to me - Beautifully decorated inside in a classic and elegant style. - Amazing food/ service at the restaurant - Didn't have a generic catering hall feel. - Cozy/ intimate feel perfect or my small wedding - Great menu options with lots of differnent choices.

all those and, they way its set up LOVE the balcony the outside in amaxing and that wonderfull feeling i get when i walk in there!

- On the water - One wedding per day - Beautiful high vaulted ceiling - Hardwood floor throughout ballroom - Outdoor deck for cocktail hour - Simple and elegant chandeliers in ballroom - French doors in ballroom - It is not a typical RH
OFC is my dream RH. We did go over budget a little bit but it's totally worth it IMO.

We had looked at about 12 halls before we finally went to CLM.
As soon as we walked in the door we both looked at each other and smiled, we both knew it was the one.
It was such a warm feeling!
Other reasons: -It's on the water -It's a beautiful place -It has a big enough cocktail hour room to seat 200 people -The main ballroom is BEAUTIFUL -There is a fire place in the hallway which will be nice for our guests -The price was just right -They decorate the whole hall in fall decorations! -The food was amazing at the taste testing!
-and lastly my picky FMIL loved the place

The food and the decor!I didn't want people to talk about the food, whether it wasn't good or not enough of it. I had been there for 2 HS events and 1 wedding and ate in the restaurant several times so I knew the food was excellent, and we love Italian food. And for me, the decor was just hte right blend of glitz without being overdone, so it was win-win. I always knew I wanted my wedding there and it came out great!

SERVICE & FOOD ARE AMAZINGGGGGGGGG So important to us cuz if theyre not top notch its kind of a waste for us - close to home, most of my guests are in bklyn so i didnt want them travelling all the way to li especilly if thers traffic - Decor - i know for some its a bit much but so are me and fh lol so it suited us - the room is gorgeoussssss i fell in love i could go on and on hahaha

The service was insanely amazing from the moment we walked in
Location is great... we live in Queens so it's not too far for us and all of our friends who live in the city, and not too far for our family who live on LI
Our BM was really willing to work with us to get us what we want
The price was right!

The moment we walked in we both felt like, 'wowww! I can see us getting married here!'
-I wanted it on the water! -We both loved the BM we spoke to. He was real, and helpful and not a salesman! -They hooked us up with some good deals. -I loveeeeee the high ceilings in the ballroom with the big windows with the water view. -Liked the indoor/outdoor CH -met the owner and he was really a nice guy too.
We both just had a feeling!

-It can accomodate our guest list -It's one wedding at a time -What they offered -Their flexibility -The dance floor and the outcove for the band -The cocktail room -FH was sick of looking at places (it was the last place we looked at ) -The staircase where we can take pictures -The bridal suite was decently sized compared to ones that we saw -the chairs weren't hideous
i only wish that it was slightly cheaper. it's definitely more than what we wanted but they're offering us a lot so i guess it's not so bad i fall in love with the place more and more every time we go there

I love Swan club! The only reason we didn't book it is because my whole family got married there.
We booked Woodbury Country Club because before we checked out places, We knew we wanted lush gardens, and a gazebo by the water. Our ceremony area has just that, with the gazebo on the lake. I got a warm feeling when we walked in. The BM was friendly and made sure during our decision process that we were accomodated appropriately. Awesome food!!! Alot of value for the money. Was in the budget.

we just wanted different. the atrium at flowerfield definitely covered that.
we weren't looking for a wedding factory like many of the places on the island can be. we knew we wanted a one at a time place so you're not bumping into a bride from another wedding or people you don't know are coming in and out. it's my day. and i don't care who else's. and i don't want their guests either. not to sound snotty about it, but somewhere in your head, you're thinking it too.
price and amount of people it held, are obvious answers but you don't want to go somewhere and have them go 'oh yeah, we can squeeze 250 in.' you want to know that 250 are going to fit.
we looked at 4 or 5 other places and the second we walked into flowerfield, it was all over. done and done.
