Ok so my FH is a wonderful guy. Wants me to have the world even though Im happy with my slice -chuckle- So when we went to get our bands, he wanted me to have something diamond encrusted to match my e rings band. We chose a band that was thin because I was going to have one on each side of my e-ring. But because it wasn't a ring made for mine, it gapped. The jewler said he could make it to mtach on a specal order. So we did that but when I got it back months ago (yes I have been pondering this for months lol) Fh had sceretly ased him to put in larger diamonds which dont really match my setting well and they are HUGE! with the e-ring now soddered together with the bands, it goes from abse of my finger almost to the knuckle...ITS frickiN HUGE! And I have small fingers...
Now I know...WHY complain when a man willingly gives you MORE diamonds instead of less. He wanted to be sweet and it is, but Im not comfortable with very elaborate jewlery and this sucker is NOT discreet. Its 12 days to our wedding so I cannot change it and honestly I should have complained when i got it back then not now but I shouldnt mention anything right? Just grin and wear it?

Re: Reatrded 'question' more of a vent abour bands
I think that you need to tell him, even f it cant be fixed in time for the wedding your rings are not just about what he wants for you. I would tell him that it was very sweet that he wanted to give you more ( diamonds ring etc) but that it is not comfortable for you to wear( to wide, to much). Tell him that you are going to wear this forever and for that to happen your ring has to be comfortable and then see what can be done with it after the wedding. If it makes him feel better you could have the bigger diamonds made into some other piece of jewelery so that you would still have them. Good Luck!

Oh that is sweet. But I understand. I would grin and wear it until after the HM. If you still want to change it, I would then say that it is uncomfortable or it's bothering your finger. Then you can bring it back to the jeweler, who will be able to fix it, and his feelings won't get hurt. Good luck. You have a very sweet FH.

Is it possible to or, how would you feel wearing the weddings bands on the opposite hand....have your engagement ring on one hand and the wedding bands on the other? I've seen this done. Then maybe the big diamonds won't look like 'too much' and you're still keeping everything that he had made for you, just in a different way? Just an idea....

I tried this but because the bands were made to fit my e-ring with that little gap in the middle to make them flush, they looked funny without the E ring so they had to be welded together to keep them together and from sliding. So its one big ring now instead of 3 seperate ones.
It is pretty. I just wish they matched better and it didnt make my hand look so heavy. But I think I'll just stay mum about it because we've been arguing so much ;lately due to the wedding stress and he doesnt need one more thing bothering him. lol I can always get a new one on our um 25th anniversary?!

I actually just bought my dress yesterday. After trying on a million, I finally found 'the one'. I'm so happy but I can't really find a good picture of it that's why I haven't posted about it yet. My dream dress was a Jim Hjelm but it was WAAAAAY out of my price range, so I just had to leave it there in dreamland. But back here in reality, i'm just head over heels in love with my dress.

yes, it is. ivory, strapless, lace fitted to just about my tailbone, then it's tiered chiffon layers. still a fairly narrow cut through to the floor. I love it! My grandmother (I hope) is going to make a mantilla veil for me. I was kind of going for the whole 'old world spanish bride' look.
