I am so tired of all of this recall stuff. I am so looking forward to tomorrow night so it'll be over and done with. I know there are some Californians on here and I'm sure that you know what I mean. Are they talking about this nonstop all over the country as well?
I'm in Ca...and I can't wait to stop hearing about it...I'm on my way to vote right now
If you think its too much by you, think about us....that stupid bus of Arnold...all the friggin commercials going back and forth at each other...Gray Davis' wimpy voice...Cruz Bustamontes back stabbing his boss...
although I always think 'No news is good news' I feel for what the media did to Gary Condit, but how quickly did that story end on 9/11 ?

Re: Recall Election ALMOST OVERWITH!
The media always beats every topic to death.
Take Hurricane Isabel for instance * there was at least 10 days of where will it go? * then it's going to hit somewhere within this 1000 mile coastline. * then the coverage while it was hitting. (Do newscasters really need to stand on docks and in dangerous winds for stories?) * the aftermath and damage.
And then I saw a news program debating whether or not the media made too much of the storm in the first place and maybe caused panic where panic didn't need to be
and Christine...we had the same coverage in CA about the hurricane!!! it was insane...recall and hurricane...hurricane recall...
but I still think to myself...no news is good news...

Re: Recall Election ALMOST OVERWITH!
so for those in CA - what are you voting? I'm voting No on the recall. I don't love Davis, but I don't agree with the recall - I think it goes against the democratic process. He was voted in.
thankfully, I haven't heard much about the election today - I've been keeping away from the TV and radio.
Lisa...I actually feel opposite about the recall...It is part of CA law...and people have decided to use it.
considering that schools took a big cut and I don't have a job...and I just paid the huge car tax....I voted yes...I like muddraking anyway...no matter if it goes by party lines...i think the parties keep each other in check by being cutthroat...
I voted for Peter Camejo...even though I know he has no chance..
as for prop 53 and 54...I think they both make sense (ETA: make sense to me...)...roads will always need to be repaired and I am totally against giving out my personal information - I fell it is a violation of my privacy...it should be optional to give out the information...it shouldn't make a difference what gender or race I am...I am a person...and I think by having to report it all the time is moving away from multi-culturalism...

You go Erica, I would have done the same thing, let your voice be heard.
I haven't voted democratic or republican since 1992 (my first year voting) - except in 93 or 94 when I voted for the mayor of Albany...lol
my one vote isn't going to make much of a difference (with the exception of FL) by voting for the big candidates, but it helps the little guys so much, but getting federal funding and name recognition...
In the last NYS governor election...I almost didn't vote...too lazy...until I heard the marijuana reform party candidate saying that they needed 50,000 votes to get some kind of funding...so I dragged my ass out and voted...I don't think they got the 50,000 ...not that I am so much for marijuana reform...I am just for more parties and choices...

Re: Recall Election ALMOST OVERWITH!
I'm reading over the props now - I agree roads need to be repaired, I'm just not sure we need to tag that money in advance when it may be better allocated elsewhere.
As for 53, I don't like the labeling, and the information gathering should be optional.
Though I won't be here long enough to see any of this happen anyway!
but I refuse to join a political party so I would never be able to raise the funds needed...
lisa I hear you with tying up money...but I think the infrastructure can always use fixing and updating...I think it could also apply to the power system...but not sure on that one
