Looking for a good and not too expensive restaurant for a Sunday afternoon. Can anyone help? Somewhere mid-way between the Bethpage area and Selden area. Any ideas??

That is a large span to cover...can you be more specific? South Shore? Mid Island? Close to the LIE? Closer to Bethpage or Seldon?
Also, are you looking for a RD spot, or something that can hold large parties, or just a good restaurant?
Maybe if we narrow this down a bit, we can give you some good recs!

The Oak Room at Carlyle... it is a little on the expensive side but yum yum!

I would say mid island, maybe Islandia or Hauppague area....

There are quite a few restaurants on Motor Pkwy in Hauppauge, none of names hit me right now, as FH and I have only been to the chains so far. (Bertuccis, Bennigans) Maybe you can check Il Violino or San Marco?
