Received a response with no name & no return address!

They checked the box marked 'unable to attend' but failed to write who they were and didn't put a return address on it. What are we supposed to be psychic? It was postmarked Long Island so that won't help narrow it down. Unbelievable!

What we did was number the RSVP cards to corresponds with each guest, so in the event that something like this happened we would know who it was. I know this will not help you now, but can you do some calling around to see who returned it...maybe as your responses keep coming in you will be able to narrow it down. I am sure you will find out who it is in due time, sometimes people don't think. I received one with no response.

that's why a lot of people number the response cards. people are so dumb! how can you not put your name?!

how dumb. that numbering thing is good, hopefully we don't need it because we didn't do it. what about looking at the post mark date thing on the envelope? it might show the town/post office it left from?

It was postmarked 'Long Island.' Most of the people on our list are from Long Island. I was going to label them too but I thought it would just be more work. I can't believe people would do that.

Wait until it gets close to your wedding date and you'll be able to narrow down who it was.

Believe me, you're going to have to call some people who don't even bother to respond! That's what I just spend this weekend doing!!

Are you waiting for a response from a lot of people? If not, call around. I numbered mine too.But that will not help you know. You can also wait for few days to help narrow down the people even more.

Hopefully that will be the only one who didn't identify themself. When I have to start calling and I find out who it is, I'm going to tell them what they did so they don't do it to others in the future.

There will probably be several people who don't respond by the RSVP date (at least we had a few). I would wait until the due date and then start calling the people you didn't hear from. Someone will tell you that they already sent it and are not coming.

I'm sure it was a simple error on their part, but it is kind of funny when you think about it.

When the time gets closer, you should be able to narrow it down and you will have to call those people who did not respond.

can you make out the zip code on the postmark? that should tell you what town it was mailed from
