receiving line?

anyone not having one?
FH and I are pressed for daylight in November and woud like to take pics as soon as the ceremony is over. How do we let our guests know what we will not have a receving line but will see everyone at the CH?
Should we have the minister say something before we leave the church?

Maybe in your programs write 'Recieving line will take place at the reception'

We are doing one because we NEED to waste time . . . We have a 3:00 ceremony and a 6:00 CH!!!!

I would put it in the program (if you are having one.

Ask the priest to do. He is doing for us. Some people might not read the program thoroughly

I am not having one...I don't even know if jewish people have them. But, I am going to be so hungry by the time the actual ceremony is over that I am not going to have time for a line! Argh, getting married at dinner time was not my idea!

We're having one (only because we invited A LOT of people to the church and not the reception) BUT the minister can say something af the end of the ceremony.

Re: receiving line?

we weren't going to have one - but ended up having an impromptu recieving line and i wish we hadn't....it wasted our cocktail hour and was very disorganized!
i'd say, just don't do one and people will get the hint

Re: receiving line?

We were married in November and opted not to have a receiving line at the church for the very same reasons. We had my priest mention it after the service. However, we did make sure to go around to all the tables at the wedding and had a receiving line at the end of the evening too.
