Receiving Line & Timing ...

Receiving Line & Timing ...

Hello all! Here's a breakdown of my wedding day (sorry this is kinda long!):

3:30pm Church Ceremony (East Meadow)
5pm Photo appt at Old Westbury Gardens
6:30pm Cocktail hour starts (North Ritz, Syosett)

If the ceremony ends at 4:15-ish, we still have to get through the receiving line and then take pictures with the family at church, before just the bridal party heads to the gardens for photos. Something tells me we're not going to make it for 5pm.

Even if we get there late, we still want a chance to see some of our cocktail hour, and we're looking at gett there by 6:45, 7pm...

Any opinions on how I can get this to work?

My thing is that we're definitely going to have over 100 guests at the church, so we have to do the receiving line. A friend of mine told me that after her church ceremony, it took an hour just to get through the line and then family photos at the church!

I really don't want to give up OWG for pictures, but I don't want to feel like I'm missing out on my own wedding because we're running all over the place.

TIA for any advice!!!

Honestly, that's not enough time. I'd bump the ceremony back to 3 PM if you could. I wouldn't want to be rushed through pics!

Hmmm, that's pushing it for time I think. I left a lot of space for pictures.

I'm sure it will all work out, might take some creative thinking

Yeah, I think it's cutting it too close...

The church only does one wedding on Sundays and the time they give is 3:30, so I'm going to see if it's possible to move back to 3pm.

The church has an ealy mass, a noon mass and a 5pm, so personally I don't think it should be a problem, but ultimately, it's up to the church, so hopefully it will work out!!

Thanks for the support!!

Hopefully they should let you! Unless there's an earlier wedding that day. Or maybe you could push CH forward a 1/2 hour. Good luck!!

ETA: But then I would even suggest pushing your photog apptmt. at Westbury Gardens until 5:30 PM.
