Recent reads and reviews: Panic Snap, Watermelon, Honor Lost

Panic Snap: entertaining but way too similiar to Topping from Below (same author). The S&M part is slightly toned down (no dog scenes ) but the basic plot is very similiar: girl gets involved with sadistic man who she believes to be a murderer and in the end turns the bondage stuff.

Watermelon: light and entertaining brain candy. A good plane read.

Honor Lost: I can't believe things like this (honor killings) go in in modern society. Its disgusting the way women are treated. I found the story and cultural aspects interesting, but thought the writing was pretty poor and the dialogue awful. Willing to forgive that somewhat since its a powerful true story written by an inexperienced writer personally affected by the events.
