Try The Projekt, they are a sister band to Paris and are owned by the same company Soundcheck Entertainment!

We are using The Projekt they are great!!!

We are using The Projekt! They are full of enegry & will keep everyone dancing all night long!

We're using The Projekt too! They're great. I had wanted Paris also and they were booked, but we like The Projekt just as much. Book directly through them. You can get their website on here in the vendor section (it's cheaper than going through Soundcheck.)

Here's the website:

Hank Lane Music has 10 bands that they could provide you with.

We are using Soul Revival for our wedding.

We saw them at a friends wedding last summer and loved them. They had everyone dancing the whole night...they were great!!! I can't wait to have them at our wedding
Good luck!

Re: Reception Bands

Has anyone used or seen Dan Zellan, one of Hank Lane's bands. They sounded great on the CD, but doesn't everyone?
Thanks,

Re: Reception Bands

My FH and I are torn between Eastcoast and Code Bleu...

Those are the only 'non' cheesey bands we have liked so far...

But we haven't seen them all yet... I am sure there are more good ones out there...

There are like 2-3 showcases each week... you should go see them.

I know East coast has a showcase tomorrow night in Greenport

And

Code Bleu has a Showcase next tuesday at the Milleridge Cottage.

Good luck!

Saw Heart and Soul 4 years ago and just saw them again at a showcase....they are just the same as 4 years ago! Great!!!!! Very interactive. Nice people. Variety of songs. They showcase a lot.

The MYSTIC!!!!!!!!!!

I used them and they were amazing. Not a cheesy wedding band at all. They play every Thursday night at Hudson and McCoy in Freeport if you want to check them out. Also, their website is themysticmusic.com. Everyone was on the dance floor all night! I can't say enough about them except that they made our wedding.

Check them out.

Re: Reception Bands

Hey, we are looking for a energetic band who can play a wide variety of music from swing, to 70's, to some classic rock, to some urban contemporary.....Also need to be polished in some jewish music. We really like Timepiece. Can anyone give any input/comments/suggestions?
Thanks,

has any body heard of Current Affair band?

Re: Reception Bands

No one posts about them on here but my band was incredible! And very affordable for how great they were. I had ten pieces but you could go smaller. Plus they are an independent band so you can negotiate the price and they don't switch out the band members. Just tell them what you want to spend and they will work with you.

They are reviewed on the Bride's review page under my name and LFitzy79 too. They made the party so good that NO ONE wanted to leave. I have never been to a wedding where not one guest left early.

Steven Scott has a number of bands - we are using the Marv Austin Orchestra next weekend. I will let write up my review after our wedding.

Re: Reception Bands

We had Skyline, and they were amazing. There were *a lot* of musicians in the bridal party and on the guest list, and everyone raved about the band.
