Reception Card
My cocktail hour is actually an hour and a half.
On my reception card, can I say the following?
Cocktail hour at 5:30 pm
Reception to follow at 7:00 pm

personally, i would leave out the reception at 7 part.... people will hear word of mouth that its 1 1/2 hrs instead

On the reception card it will ssay the start time of the CH not the actual Reception part. When people are at the CH they will be told its extended.

the reception is going to follow the CH anyway so you dont need to state it on the card.

I agree...no need to put when the actual reception starts. CH is fine
