reception cards

how do i word the reception card if my reception is not immediately following the cermemony? my church is at 3:30, then cocktail hour starts at 7:30...do i say: cocktails at seven-thirty in evening dinner and reception to follow carlyle on the green bethpage, new york any other suggestions as to how to word this? thanks!

Your wording sounds fine to me. I have a similiar time frame (church 3:30, reception 6:30), and wrote ~ Please join us for a reception 6:30 in the evening Flowerfield etc.

We got our invitations yesterday!!!

I will answer your question- but first I need to tell you how weird it is to see your name written on a wedding invitation!! I love them!! Anyway- we had a lot of discussion about the wording on everything!! Our reception starts at 7pm and our ceremony is at 3:30pm. Ours say- Formal Reception at seven o'clock in the evening Meadow Club then the address Hope that helps!
