RECEPTION COLORS

RECEPTION COLORS

Me and my FH planned to have our wedding colors ivory and black! so the plan was that he will wear a ivory tux jacket alone with the ring bearer. But now that i am sitting here I know my dress isnt white and its not ivory... So he told me to change it to white( which I did) but now I am second guessing it!!
Also, now that will change my table linens which were suppose to be ivory and black.( i am getting married at NRC)!! But will white look good in that room? Also, the white im thinking of will probably be more of an off white!
Options! before I drive myself mad

Don't worry about matching your dress to everything. There are a million shades of white and a million shades of ivory.

Are you having any accent colors? What color flowers?

just touches of silver! Maybe I should just leave us in the white and everything in the ivory!

If your in white he should wear white. If your in ivory he should be in ivory.

Everything else can be different.

Re: RECEPTION COLORS

i don't think it's going to matter ... you don't need to match the linens

anyway, you're having a night-time wedding so white vs ivory will be so similar!

just go with whatever makes you happiest

your room is not going to be so brightly lit that people will notice the difference between white and ivory! just leave it how it is and make things easier on yourself

Hi hall twin!

The room at the NRC is very warm tone in color, I would stick with ivory for the linens....white I think might look too stark. And honestly, no one can really tell the difference NOR will they care.

Like the previous poster said, make sure you and FH match.

If he is going to wear a white dinner jacket, it will be very cream colored, moreso than most ivory gowns. I wouldn't really worry about it so much.

I agree, just keep it the way that makes you happy.

Re: RECEPTION COLORS

Maybe get a swatch of your dress and bring it to the different places so that way you can see how it looks lined up with the other fabrics and shades?
