Hi! New to this website- just got engaged on Friday but hoping for a Sept 2010 Wedding. We expect to only be able to guarantee 125 ppl. We want Saturday night and also want to be the only wedding. So far I have appts to see Allegria (told us 100 person minimum) and The Metropolitan (told us 125 minimum). Any other suggestions? I know there are places like Jericho Terrace and Westbury Manor that have rooms for weddings our size, but not willing to compromise on being the only wedding at the venue at this point. We plan to have a band and have read on some of the posts the acoustics at The Met are not good. Appreciate any help! Thanks!

We had a 100 minimum at the Milleridge Cottage (which can have up to 300 there!) and it's one wedding at a time and so lovely. The food is the absolute BEST. I know some people don't like that the ceilings are low in the main room, but it was perfect for us for an intimate group, despite the room being big enough to fit 3x what we had there. The atrium room where we had our reception and where we had our buffets set up (we wanted a buffet for our wedding) is *gorgeous* -- and because the weather was nice, we had the CH outside! It was perfect.
I still smile when I think about how wonderful our wedding was. Guess it's supposed to be that way!

East Wind has a smaller property on site - The Country Gardens. There are three separate buildings on site, but they are totally separate and the guests don't see each other, brides don't see each other, etc.

Congrats and Welcome!!! I thought the Allegria was closing by next year. Alot of girls that booked for next year posted that they had to relocate.

Places that do one wedding at a time usually want a higher guarantee but will work with you if you do an afternoon wedding. My hall Floral Terrace did that. They have one wedding at a time. FM me if you have questions about Floral Terrace. I think someone posted before that Old Field Club had a minimum of 110...not 100% sure...someone else should be able to verify this

I don't know anything about it, but I think Trumpets by the Gate has a lower minimum. DeSeversky may also.

Forgot to add- nassau county is ideal. Willing to spend around $125 per plate.

I've heard good things about the Riviera, I think they have a smaller minimum.

Atlantica in the Hamptons is closing by next year and all the brides have to relocate to the Allegria in Long Beach . Last month my friend's friend was the first wedding at Allegra ..... Still very green.......

This was the same problem I was having with my desired Saturday night Sept. guarantee of 120-140 and I never found the right balance of price, guarantee and great food. We also didn't want to go futher out than Nassau because church is in Brooklyn.
The closest I found to your specs was Crestwood Manor, which has a new owner and not much reputation that I could find (good or bad), but was very pretty. I liked it. FH did not. The Sat guarantee was 100 there, I believe. The online photos don't really look impressive, but the inside had that great, rich, upscale old home feel.
Not to discourage at all (!) but to be really honest, Your combo of Sat evening, location, wanting to be the only bride and your desired price and minimum guarantee are going to be very difficult to come by just from my experience. I wound up having to reevaluate my priorities and sacrifice one or two of them to get a good balance (I sacrificed being the only bride, but did it at a place with a fantastic rep so I know I'll still be treated well!), but I really sincerely hope you find it. north ritz has only one wedding... we had a 150 min for a Sat in Jan... not sure what they would do for when you wanna get married, but we fell in love wiith it and we wanted one wedding at a time too. goodluck!

The only places we looked that are one event at a time are the Woodlands (where we booked) and The Vanderbilt Mansion at Dowling. The min for the Woodlands on a Fri night is 125, on Saturday, its more, but not sure how much more and the The Vanderbilt Mansion at Dowling is in suffolk.

I have the whole property to myself for the event.

Congrats on your engagement!!
You should check out Old Field Club in Setauket. It's a gorgeous hall right on the water. They only have one wedding PER DAY so you can have your reception start whenever you want. Fridays and Sundays they require you to guarantee 100 people and on Saturdays they require you to guarantee 120.

I went to see Douglaston Manor, which was beautiful and they can do one wedding at a time, not sure if they do on Sat. though, you should give them a call.
