Hi! New to this website- just got engaged on Friday but hoping for a Sept 2010 Wedding. We expect to only be able to guarantee 125 ppl. We want Saturday night and also want to be the only wedding. So far I have appts to see Allegria (told us 100 person minimum) and The Metropolitan (told us 125 minimum). Any other suggestions? I know there are places like Jericho Terrace and Westbury Manor that have rooms for weddings our size, but not willing to compromise on being the only wedding at the venue at this point. We plan to have a band and have read on some of the posts the acoustics at The Met are not good. Appreciate any help! Thanks!

I am getting married at Venetian Yacht Club and our minimum was 125 for a Saturday night.

Check out The Royalton Mansion in Roslyn Heights - one wedding at a time and it's an absolutely gorgeous place

I had 100 at Majestic Gardens being the only wedding. It was a Sunday night though. I'm not sure what Saturdays would be

definitly try the riviera in massapequa, they only do one wedding at a time and the room is beautiful

Try the Inn at New Hyde Park on Jericho Tpke. We just went to a wedding there and it was beautiful. Definitely one wedding at a time !

Do not book at the Allegria. The owners, Todd Jacobs and Ginny Jacobs, have caused a lot of grief to brides by canceling their weddings at the Atlantica in Westhampton beach. They do not do business right. My wedding at the Atlantica was canceled 5 weeks before the big day and they could not provide me any financial overages nor could they provide me with an alternative wedding venue. These people are sneaky. They also had to move weddings from march to September 2009 when brides booked at the Allegria and then the Allegria didn't open on time. These people are no good and their food is just marginal! Please don't book with the Allegria, from one bride to another. Don't give your money to a caterer that has done harm to so many brides.

I had a 125 minimum for The Royalton for a Friday night in June. We ended up having 150 guests after all. A lot of places will do a lower minimum, but for Saturday they may make it be off season.

I don't know what the price is but the Harbor Club is beautiful and I believe you can go as low as 100 people.
Also try all the Lessings. I love the Lessings but the only place big enough for me was Bourne and Timberpoint and I loved Lands End more. But they have Dowling, Three Village Inn, The Riverview, Coindre Hall, The Vanderbilt Mansion... and they do a terrific job on everything they cater.
