yea but you definitely get more for your money in LI. The menus i get for the city are like minimal amounts of food. it's all the add ons that make it expensive.

Re: reception hall help
we're paying for our own wedding and i think we're comfortable with 40k. i mean we can go a bit higher if need be. our families will cover the rehearsal dinner and the rest is on us.

honestly, i don't like brooklyn and i dislike the bronx and queens even more....i'm just not a New Yorker. I would do manhattan but all the quotes i'm getting add up to about 250 and up with gratuity and taxes. it's a bit excessive for a wedding. I've been to a wedding in LI before and it was pretty so that's why i've decided on this area as well as it being more reasonable priced.
Excuse me I am from queens and I take offense to that, even though it is highly congested and my hubcaps get stolen on a daily basis

I know that's what people think of queens! Are you from queens too? You have your run down parts of queens but there is also really expensive beautiful parts of queens (aka malba). I actually went to day camp in roslyn and a lot of the kids there were from LI and they weren't allowed to come play at my house because i lived in queens

lol i'm kidding about the hubcaps when I lived with my parents some weird stuff would happen to the cars parked on the streets. Did you ever see dude where's my car? It was kind of like that, lol. But now that I moved in with FH there's really no problems with the cars. However we did have the stationary store on the corner held at gunpoint over the summer.
