Re: reception hall prices - long

1) From your experience in hunting for reception halls what places quoted you from $40 -$65 per person?

-Sunset Harbor in Patchogue

-Windows on the Lake

-Mediterranian Manor in Patchogue

Also, try a holiday weekend like the 4th of July, Memorial Day, or Labor Day.

Re: reception hall prices - long

Hi, You should try the Oceanside knights of columbus. I think it is called Oconnell Gardens. One of my friends got married there and it was absolutely gorgeous and the food was really good. The price was in the $45-$65 price range.

I've only been quoted that range if I have it on a weekday or within the next six months

Re: reception hall prices - long

I've been to a wedding at the Milleridge Carriage House (smaller room but part of the whole Milleridge Cottage complex) and it was soooo beautiful. The bride is actually my BM and she paid very little (I think $50 pp on a Sunday evening)...the ambience was beautiful and the food was great. I highly recommend it!

ETA: The Cottage is also beautiful and it will easily fit your 180 guests!

Re: reception hall prices - long

As far as the restaurant goes...for your 180 guests it will def run you a lot more $$ than a catering hall...just something to keep in perspective for a tight budget wedding.

Next year is all we know....and even though I'm looking now, we'll probably end up booking in the beginning of next year due to financial reasons.

I would rather have my wedding in the fall so I can have the outdoor ceremony with out the HEAT....but I'm realizing I can't be choosey. So I'm basically looking for the best deal out there!

have you checked places with all inclusive packages? Or have you considered having hordouvers, w/ different stations like pasta, carving displays etc? Dessert?

it's different and a lot cheaper or did you have your heart set on a full menu?

Thursday & Friday afternoon are hard for your guest to go to.

Ok what about candle CP's they will add romance to your wedding and they're alot cheaper than flowers.

Staples has invite kits that you print on yuor own comp. It's $25.00 per 50, each box inclues the invites w/ envelopes, the response w/ envelopes

Re: reception hall prices - long

Hi...

Westbury Manor quoted me $65 per person for a Saturday Day wedding in December. However, with the tax and tip it came out to like 78ish.

Re: reception hall prices - long

I just went to a couple of places today and I am looking for November and the prices are a little cheaper. I got a quote of $70 for the Woodbury Country Club on a Friday night in October or November, it is not as cheap as you wanted, but it was nice. Check it out. Good luck
