fh and i are planning to get married this december (december 07) and are looking around for reception halls. i was wondering if you girls had any suggestions. we're trying to keep the wedding fairly cheap (under $10,000 if at all possible) and can guarentee a minimum of 100 people. it's just kinda hard right now b/c in addition to being completely lost on how and where to start looking, we're not gonna be back in ny permanently until may. so any help you guys can offer is greatly appreciated. =0)

They also have a BIG food selection...we have two vegetarian dishes on the menu and a sushi bar and that is included in the price.

The Riviera is gorgeous and the Brentwood CC is also very pretty-both have great prices and should be even less because it's December.

The Crest Hollow Country Club gave us a price of $60 for a Winter wedding.

Tall Grass Country Club in Shoreham. I had my wedding there & highly recommend them. It's a Lessing's hall.

Check out the coral house. I got a great deal for a june wedding so I am sure december you can get even better.

I have around the same budget... doing it at the Stewart Manor COuntry Club... LOVE it.. they're great... you're the only wedding, which is a plus and it's decorated beuatifully in december. miminum guarantee is only 100.

December has great prices but you will have to compete with the companies that are having holidays parties. I would suggest:
CLM Coral House Brentwood CC (they have an AI pkg for 10K) Swan Club Jem Caterers of Nassau (The Sands)
Check them out - they are probably all affordable!
