I went to my first 2 halls today, we absolutely LOVED one of them. Is it crazy to book a hall after only seeing 2?? I feel like I should see more to compare! Help!

Re: Reception Halls
It's not crazy at ALL. My RH was the first hall I saw and as I was pulling up, I knew it was the one without even looking inside!!!!!
But I had one other appointment at another hall just to be safe.
Sometimes you just know!

Re: Reception Halls
Not crazy, I saw so many because I have such a tight budget but when I negotiated with the RH I booked I was in love, my FH looked at me and said 'whatever we have to do, I am marrying you here'
if that is your feeling, jump on it!

Re: Reception Halls
I don't think it's crazy at all. My hall was the first we visited and I felt like it was the one and that I didn't need to visit anymore. However...my mom said we should see a few more. So we went to see 3 more and I felt like I was wasting my time because my heart was already set. When you know...you know!!

Re: Reception Halls
you should def see more halls just to make sure. I went to Westbury Manor and almost booked it on the spot!!! Then I went to Leonards and was debating between the 2..and then Leonards dropped the price on me so it made my decision much easier!!
you can always go back to the first RH you loved..but jumping the gun can backfire on you!! just ask Sunshine15!!

Re: Reception Halls
I've been on both sides of this. When I first booked my wedding I booked the first hall i looked at after seeing only one other. I was happy with the decision at the time. However now I am planning again and I actually had to find a new venue (long awful story). This time I looked at a few more places and I actually love the place I booked 100000000X more than I loved the first place I had booked before.
I'd also recommended browing a little because you can use the quotes from different halls to negotiate. it definitely helps to have other quotes when you're negotiating. You can generally get a lot of add-ons that way.

Re: Reception Halls
we booked the very first hall that we went to see ... though we looked at TONS on the internet ... i'm still psyched about my decision
however, it doesn't hurt to go look at others just to be safe ... but if you know you love this one, don't waste your time

Re: Reception Halls
I'd suggest keep looking a little, if for nothing else, comparison value. Maybe it is the place (which is very possible...we fell in love when we saw our RH and pretty much knew), but I wouldn't jump to make a decision. The one we booked was the 2nd to last we visited....and we went to FAR more than I care to admit.
