Reception halls in the Bronx, Yonkers, Westchester, etc...
Can anyone recommend a reception hall in either the Bronx or in that area, Yonkers, Westchester, etc? Most of our families will be coming from the Bronx and we live in Queens. I figured we should explore the option of going north. We only have about 50-60 guests. Want an outddor ceremony onsite and nice gardens to take pics. We also need an affordable price since we have a small budget. Thanks!.

You can try the beach clubs in New Rochelle. There is Greentree, Beckwith Pointe. It may be harder with such a small crowd, but it's definitely do able. There is also CV Rich Mansion in White Plains. There is also a place in Bronxville that does ceremonies outdoors, the name is escaping me right now.

You can also try Betty's Catering in Queens. She has an 'all inclusive' type package and she's very affordable. Here is her website:
There aren't too many places that will hold suych a small affair, but she has a smaller room that can hold it. She has great pics on her website.

The Snuff Mill Inn @ the Bronx Botanical Gardes was nice - probably would be great for your size group. It is catered by Abigail Kirsch Catering - they are amazing!

How about Marina Del Rey in the Bronx? It's right near the Throgs Neck Bridge and has gorgeous views. They also just totally renovated it a year or so ago.
I went to a wedding at Westchester Country Club that was very nice, but you might need to be sponsored by a member to have a function there...

How about Marina Del Rey in the Bronx? It's right near the Throgs Neck Bridge and has gorgeous views. They also just totally renovated it a year or so ago.
I went to a wedding at Westchester Country Club that was very nice, but you might need to be sponsored by a member to have a function there...
Just wanted to let you know that the Snuff Mill at the Botanical Gardens is undergoing a renovation in 2007 so everything should be new and improved for 2008. You can't go wrong if you have your wedding there. The room comfortably holds 110 people and if you do a Friday or Sunday wedding the minimum is only about 75 people. As was mentioned by Boston&NY2006, Abigail Kirsch is an amazing caterer so the food will be great.

There's the Surf Club in New Rochelle and Castle on the Hudson in Tarrytown.

You can try the VIP Country Club in New Rochelle or the Riverview in Yonkers/Hastings (right on the water)..I know both can accomodate a small wedding

Forgot to mention that you can also try the Westcheser Manor House in Yonkers, which is REALLY affordable and I know they just re-did the entire place and it has new owners.

Yep VIP, Surf club or Caffe On the Green which is right off of the Whistone/Throgs neck bridge in Queens.

Marina Del Ray might be a great option. It's in the Bronx directly over the Throgg's Neck Bridge. I went there and it's $100 pp. Sunday evening. Try day for a more affordable rate.
