I know this has been done, but I'd like to get some advice so I know where to start looking. I've been suggested all of these paces, but I REALLY don't want to go looking at a lot of places and find they're too much $$. Please tell me there are nice places under $100!

Re: Reception halls under $100 p/p?
I got married at Stuart Thomas Manor in Farmingdale. Although it is not a well known place, I can attest they throw an awesome wedding. Everything from the service to the food to how beautiful the cake and food were was just amazing!!! Out BM was the absolute best!! The manor only does one wedding at a time and the room in gorgeous. The only down side was they don't really have any grounds, but that didn't matter to me since I got married in February and we weren't outside at all. They offer a package, and it is $65 pp. All the vendors in their package were great. I was truly impressed by everything, every detail it was just the best day of my life!! FM me if you want any more info!!

Now my mom is making me upset b/c I told her I was looking for halls under $100 and she's like 'you get what you pay for!' *sigh*

what we did was invest in a few items $$$-wise, the rest we will make up in 'sweat equity'. you may want to think about it that way...start making a list of your priorities, and know that you are going to have to start economizing. it's really doable, don't worry... it's true that 'you get what you pay for' in some instances, but if you are knowledgeable and do your homework, you can find great deals and avoid being taken for a ride...
sometimes “less is more”...

I think if you book Port Jeff CC before May 1 you may be able to get under $100pp....we are doing Friday night in Sept and it is $94.95.
The awesome part is you basically are getting a Villa Lombardi's wedding at a country club atmosphere.
You have to call Villas for info.
Good Luck!

I paid 75 and my guest all thought I paid over 100. They were so impressed with the cocktail hour. I think many of the suggested places make for a GREAT wedding that does not seem cheap at all. Now that I have done it.. I can say after the 5 hours are over, whether you paid 150 at a place like the Carlton or 75 at the North Ritz... it no longer matters, you are now married and everyone had a great time and you have more $ in your pocket and NO one will think you didnt have a great wedding.

Re: Reception halls under $100 p/p?
Im getting married at the Swan Club. On a saturday night in June... (all the prime times) and I am paying just under 100.00 it comes out a little over 100.00 with tax and gratuity. In Dec. It would be less. You can't say because a place is cheaper they arent good. Its not true.
Check out the Meadow Club. I don't know how much it is pp for a Saturday night wedding though. FH and I looked at the Meditteranean Manor and they were VERY reasonably priced for a Saturday night wedding...it was definitely under $100pp. I think it was around $80pp and that included tax and gratuity.
