OK so you all know that we've been going crazy searching for the perfect place to have our ceremony & reception...
We've searched the gamet!!! I'm looking in to restaurants in the city.
I manage a restaurant in Jericho, it's a beautiful restaurant. Someone asked me about having the wedding here. At first I laughed it off, Now I'm thinking about it....
I can close the restaurant to the public for a Saturday, (The man that owns the restaurant is the same man that's giving me away ) I know the quality of the food. All our liquor is top shelf.
I want our puppies to be in the ceremony & I don't think that would present a problem (I still have to check it out.
It will cost alot less than catering halls, and we will then really be able to affored a house before the wedding.
Please let me know what you think, I have pic's of the restaurant on our webpage but there are 360 tours on Newsday.com -local search - restaurants key word Brindisi.
Thanks ladies once we figure out where to be wed we will have won half the battle

I think it would be beautiful. The restaurant looks great. I would definetely look into it. It would probably mean alot to being the owner is the person walking you down the aisle.

I'm not sure, we;ve been looking for literally 6 months, nothing we liked that was in our budget.
I was talking w/ a guest that was shocked I was looking in to Candela (a restaurant in the city) and I didn't seriously consider having the wedding here.
The more I thought about it the more it makes sence, I'm nervous that I 'll regret not having a full production wedding , however I want o avoid the catering hall wedding factory...

now I had my birthday celebration here for my: 21st 22nd 23rd & Fh's 25th
but we never had the whole restaurant er always had our own room or a large table

Re: Reception Help ***
The one and only reservation I would have about it, is would the owner feel compelled to make sure everything ran correctly, rather than concentrating on walking you down the aisle and being a guest at your wedding?
My brother is head chef at a CC. I could have gotten the best deal to have my reception at his place (and also the most awesome food), but my brother would not be able to sit down and enjoy dinner, or take a spin on the dance floor with me, because he is the type of person that subscribes to the 'if you want something done right do it yourself' philosophy. For that reason, I decided to have the reception someplace else.

Re: Reception Help ***
Excellent point, I guess I would have to sit down w/ him and explain that he's my 'dad' for the day & not a restaurant owner 'just for that day' and see how it goes w/ him.
I can't believe I didn't think of that , thanks

That sounds like a great idea. It speaks very highly for the restaurant. I don't think you guests would think it is strange at all.
