I need some help here, I have been looking at places for a venue and wanted to do the barn theme but all the places are too small my fiance doesnt like the bethpage restoration place. I was turned off by the caterer and now we are back at square one. We didnt like the buy out option at the resoration place. I am looking to stay in Suffolk county and my big question is when looking at places how much can your really negotiate with them on a price? We arent looking to spend the normal long island wedding amount on a wedding because we have a budget. Thanks so much for all your help.

did you try Hallockville Farm? I was interested in Old Bethpage as well but the venue only holds 100 people and if you need to accommodate more you need to rent a tent.

Did you look at Martha Clara? I attended a wedding in their barn there a few years ago - it was really nice!

I know vineyard weddings cost money just for the site fee alone. My FH's best friend was looking to have his wedding in a vineyard last year. The site fee for one of them was $15,000! No tables, chairs, food or anything included. And his friend makes six figures in the city and even that was outrageous for him.
