I got married at the watermill with 150 guests. I had the downstairs room. Wasnt even going to look there, was afraid it would be way to expensive. When he opened the doors to the downstairs room, I looked at my mother and said 'this is it'. My hubby wasnt even with us that day, we just happened to drive past and said, lets give it a shot. I took my hubby and MIL there 2 nights later and we booked it. I wish you luck. I have 3 weddings coming up... The Riviera The Meadow Club The Larkfield Manor
Maybe you can check them out too.. Good Luck

Re: Reception Location Help
Thanks everyone for all of your help and suggestions....
As of now our choices are:
1-Carlyle 2-PJCC 2-Watermill
Haven't decided if Carlyle is too much money yet. PJCC doesn't have the dates that are most convienent for us and Watermills price seems very reasonable.
UGHHHHH.. DECISIONS DECISIONS DECISIONS....

Re: Reception Location Help
I know that choosing the right hall can be stressfull. To me, it was the 'fun' part. Im glad to see the 'watermill' made your 3 choices. Remember, the most important thing is its your day. If you go back and look at these places, maybe, one will give you that 'wow, this really is it ' feeling. All of your choices are really nice halls. Once again, I wish you the best of luck!

Re: Reception Location Help
I only wish that Carlyle had the beg. of July open... then we would def. take that.
Watermill does, PJCC is only open in October and Carlyle has August and October.
What to do what to do what to do. And what's worse is everyone has at lease one little comment on each place as far as what they do and don't like about it.

Re: Reception Location Help
We had our reception at the Carlyle and loved it. One place you might consider is The Woodlands on Oyster Bay Golf Course. It's an old mansion (used to belong to the Mellons) that's recently been renovated. We saw it during renovations and thought it would be great for a wedding under 250 people, and their prices were lower than Carlyle (not a lot lower, but still lower). Not a lot of people know about it, but it was still our second choice; we ended up deciding that it would be on the small side for us, but for most people it would be perfect (we had a *really* big wedding)..

Re: Reception Location Help
Based on what you've mentioned you're looking for I'd look at Fox Hollow and North Ritz Club

Re: Reception Location Help
You might try the Caryle, The Woodlands, or the Carlton. I am using the Woodbury CC, but they are not in that price range. But very nice grounds, mahogany, reflecting pool.
