I'm actually getting married next Saturday...AHHHHH at Rockleigh Country Club in NJ, so not really familiar with all the LI places, so was looking to you wonderful ladies to help out!!

Any info would be appreciated!

Thanks so much

I'm getting married at Manor East in Massapequa. It was very affordable and so far great to deal with. FM me if you want more info!!

Congrats on your upcoming wedding!!!

Re: Reception Locations??

How much is she looking to spend and around how many people? Day of week? Time of year? All of this matters ALOT in determining price and place! Also does she need a location for ceremony too? Does she need grounds?

Give us some more info and we'll be happy to help

Re: Reception Locations??

She's leaning toward the summer (she works in a school) so that would be helpful. They would ideally like a saturday evening, but are willing to look into Fridays and saturday afternoon (not sunday). They will be having the ceremony at the same place as the reception, and beyond that, they are pretty open between nassau and suffolk.

Does anyone know anything about John Anthony's?? She's mentioned that one? I went to a wedding there and from what I remember it was nice, but it was a while ago...

John Anthony's I heard (from this site) is undergoing some changes so find out that info first (something about bankruptcy and new ownership?). Here are some other places on the water she can look into:

Chateau La Mer - Lindenhurst (Also on the water)

Sunset Harbour - East Patchogue

Crescent Beach Club - Bayville

The Riviera - Massapequa

Welcome and Congrats on your upcoming wedding.
How much is she looking to spend? What time? What is her taste in terms of what she's looking for?
That is so sweet of you that you are about to get married and yet find time to help your friend. Kudos to you !!!

Re: Reception Locations??

I'm a teacher and actually have free time this week, and don't have much left to do for me, so I need to do some sort of wedding stuff, so now I'm on to her. I don't know what I'm going to do when this is all really over. I think I need to be a wedding coordinator, maybe it's my true calling !

They're probably looking to spend with tax and everything around $140 pp. They def. like the water and beach idea. But they are so indecisive (I cannot spell that word). First they want the city, then LI, then a destination wedding, but they are leaning toward LI, so I figured I'd start here, if she's not!!!

THanks so much for all the help and advice!!!

That's so nice of you. Wanna help me with mine?
She has a lot of options. By the water, Lands End is very nice. Also, I think Atlantica. The Riviera is also by the water. I'd try to think of some other places....

Re: Reception Locations??

If they like the water they should look into Sans Souci. I think it's in the range...but less than 150 people I think...

PS - good luck next week!
Smile and enjoy the day!

and don't do this

FM stands for Forum Mail.
It's located on top and it says Forum Mail and other members can write to you and you can reply or you can write to others as well including vendors.

I second the Riviera. One affair at a time, great grounds, but I would not go over 150 people even though they say more. Their new website is:

Riviera
