Re: Reception locations...

My wedding ends pretty early too. We're looking at having OOT guests stay at the wingate in which case there is a little bar area there where we will have guests come if they're still down for partying. I don't want the day to be over at 5!

Without a doubt, check out Chateau La Mer. We're getting married there this October and they are fantastic!!!! The view, the staff, the food, the place, the prices. Everything!!!! Top to bottom the absolute best! The banquet managers are Nick and Lou. You are in great hands no matter who you work with. Every time we go there they always treat us like family and are so wonderful! I could go on and on and on about them, but go and see for yourself! You will not be disappointed!!!!!

Good Luck!

Re: Reception locations...

i had our engagement party at the sterling. but i wouldnt recommend it for a wedding. the small rooms for smaller parties are nice but the large room did nothing for me.

I looked at Villa Lombardi's, The Venetian Yacht Club, Carlyle on the Green, Carltun on the Park, Westbury Manor, and Jericho Terrace.

I really liked all of them.

Villa is beautiful, gave me and amazing price for everythign I was looking for, could hold the 360 guests I am inviting, and has good italian food for my very big and hungry italian family.

Do a search on here for location, price, and how many it can hold......then start making appointments!

Re: Reception locations...

Congrats!!! First I have to say....I got engaged In August and just booked my wedding this week ( the middle of feb) and I am having my wedding in 7 months September 3rd....what I realized is that you can get such a better price if you book with short notice...if you can. We saved our money for 6 months then booked. Second is do NOT listen to anyone...go everywhere you want to go and look and taste as much as you want. The last thing you want to do is book and then find out shortly after of a place that you 'would of had your wedding at' Thats why this is such a wonder website. I would of never of found out about the thatched cottage if it wasnt for a review that I read. I highly recommend reading the reviews!!!
Here are the places I have been too.
Captain bills
Bellport CC
West Sayville CC
Brentwood CC
Timberpoint CC
Westbury manor
Riviera
Chateau Le Mar
East Wind
Coral house
Milleridge cottage
Majestic Gardens
Foxhollow
Rock hill club
Riverview
Snapper inn
Watermill
Villa lombardies
Thatched cottage
Larkfield manor
Stuart Thomas manor
Pine Lawn Inn
There are probably alot more but I cant think right now
Everysingle one of these places have something diff about them...you should try and see them all....It can be done haha
My favorites are Of course The Thatched cottage, Larkfield manor, Timberpoint Country Club westbury manor and the coral house!!! The coral hous has the best food I have tasted. Thatched was a close second..to my opinion!!!

Re: Reception locations...

The lessings locations are supposedly the cheaper prices. Smithtown landing is right down the road from me and it's beautiful! I didnt go there bc my sister had her sweet 16 there. west sayville CC, i wasnt too impressed. it looked shabby from the outside. inside was 'ok'. I dont think it was worth the price. you can get something much better for the same price or even cheaper.
Larkfield manor, i will agree was great. it was my second choice if i wasnt able to get my date. they would do anything for your business.
