Hi all! I am getting married in Sept-Oct 2009...we are in the midst if figuring out the reception site. I need ideas of places to see and typical prices you have received for a sept, early oct wedding. I am also in Houston, TX and will have to travel back to LI (I grew up in Massapequa) so need to narrow down. We both want to have the outdoors to be a factor- green is a must! :) likely for the pictures and cocktail hour. We are on a budget and would like to spend 50-80 per person. Thanks in advance!!

I can only speak for Westbury Manor - it's beyond gorgeous but definitely expect to pay more than $50-80 a head. I'm getting married on a Saturday during the day and it's more than $80 pp. Maybe Sundays or Fridays would be less expensive though. Its definitely worth checking out!

A sat night at swan club will run you about $98 pp w/o T&T.
Saturday nights might be hard with only a budget of $50-80 pp.

We looked at Westbury Manor and Swan Club and ended up booking the Swan Club. We were looking for Friday nights in the summer - Swan Club gave us $75 and Westbury Manor was $105. We asked about different times of year at Westbury Manor though – even in October and November it only went down to like $100 I think. Luckily we loved the Swan Club!

I would def try the Riviera--it's right in Massapequa--the prices are really reasonable and they only do one wedding at a time! fm me if you need more info!

for a saturday evening in may swan club quoted me at $98, fox hollow at $99 and westbury manor at $115. these prices dont include tax & gratuity
saturday evening might not work with the per person amount you want to spend.
