Hey Guys, A few of you posted some suggestions for waterfront places. Would anyone be able to give me a round about price for them? Danfords and Lombardi's on the sound? We don't want to fall in love with a place out of our range. Thanks!!

Re: Reception places
swan club we were quoted 85$ but that was a winter wedding. It would be more for a spring wedding. So nice though! We didn't take it cuz its harder to enjoy the water and scenery in January, its gonna be too cold!!

Re: Reception places
Here are the prices I was quoted for a Sunday Wedding in 08. I'm sure they went up for '09, and I'm sure they are higher for Fr/Sat night, but here goes:
Thatched Cottage -- Loved it!!!! 85.50 pp Riviera - 74 pp -- really beautiful water views Lands End - 125 pp -- absolutely beautiful, on the beach, was out of my range Crescent Beach club -- 140 pp (ouch!!!) -- same as above, probably the best ceremony location ever Venetian Yacht Club -- I think around 110 Swan Club - two different packages, one was 70 and one was 90. It was a great value and beautiful grounds, but I really wanted a place that was only one wedding at a time. They do 2 or even 3. Harbour Club - don't remember, but it was under 100 pp.
Good luck and have fun!!!!

Really? We were quoted $95 when we looked. I loved it though, and definitely would have seriously considered it if we had been able to meet their minimum.

Re: Reception places
We had our reception at Danfords, and LOVED it! They were incredibly reasonable and we came in all tolled, just at $100 pp with tax, and service included. We got the biggest and best bang for our buck here plus we got a free stay in the hotel the night of our wedding. They went above and beyond for us and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a waterfront wedding.
They threw in lots of extras too that made it extra worth it.
FM if you want greater details but DEFINITELY check them out!

The Sans Souci of sea cliff has only has one affair at a time and overlooks the long island sound. Very beautiful and the food is amazing. Prices are around 70 pp.

I am doing a Sunday at the Swan Club. From April until I think August/Sept 2010, Sundays are $70 pp. They have beautiful grounds with tons of flowers to take pics. Tulips come out in April. They also have fountains and a view of Roslyn Harbor. The food is very good. They provide a luncheon tasting, which includes Appetizer (or Soup), Salas, Main Entree, Dessert, coffee on the house.

Chateu Le Mer I think was around $95 or so depending on what your getting plus that was a saturday night in sept (one of the prime months) But I remember for other months I think around winter/spring they were really cheap and the place is absoultely gorgeous...all waterfront and your entrance is you coming in from a nice boat while all your guests are watching you from the deck, very different! Check it out.
