Reception pricing help

Hi, everyone. I'm planning long distance and trying to get as much realistic price information as possible. I like them all (online), but they seem to range greatly in price I tried searching through old posts, but then I realized I was looking at price quotes from 2 years ago! And I know it makes a big difference what kinds of additions you want (vienesse, etc.)

If anyone has negotiated with any of these places, I would really appreciate a reply or an FM. Thanks!

Villa Lombardi's
Leonard's
Watermill
Floral Terrace
Roslyn Claremont Hotel
Carlyle on the Green
Oheka Castle

Roslyn Clairmont is about $125+
Oheka I believe can run about $200+

Also remember that some places have you guarantee higher minimums.

I haven't looked at any of these, but I would suggest calling them, and asking them for rates for the day and time you're intersted in. If they're reluctant, then tell them you're planning from far away, and don't want to drive there to meet with them only to find out that they're out of the price range. I have found that this excuse works with a lot of vendors.

Oheka also has a significant site fee, but the per person and site fee are lowered significantly in the off season from what I've heard.

A Rough estimate on average Carlyle prices without add ons:
Friday, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday - $125
Saturday night - $185
(give or take depending on popularity of date, there is no site fee at the Carlyle)

Hi, welcome to the boards!! We're having our reception at Floral Terrace and we're paying $80 (plus 15% service charge and 8.5% tax) for a Sunday night in May 2004.

Good Luck with your decision.

Re: Reception pricing help

Hi,
Im getting married at Oheka. The prices very alot depending on the day of the week and time of year you get married. November-March is alot cheaper. However, at the beginning of nov. and end of march they may be less flexible. You can forum mail me if you have any questions. But, i do have to say that no matter how varied the prices are...they will be significantly more than almost any other reception hall...i know that i didn't find any prices that even came close (even the abigail kirsch places which are supposed to be expensive). Hope that helps

Re: Reception pricing help

I went to see Roslyn Claremont for a Saturday evening in October and with a guarantee of 175, the manager was able to bring it down to $107 including the seafood bar. I thought that was great - the only drawback is that the cocktail room is kinda small.
