Reception timeline

Hi girls, want to know if you could share your reception timeline with me. I will have a 5 hr reception including cocktail (6:30-11:30 P.M.) Thanks.

Here's what mine looks like so far;

Cocktails & Greetings

6:00 Photo session at reception site
Champagne and petit four for arriving guests

6:30 Cocktail music begins
Guests arrive
Hors d’ oeuvres and drinks served
Guests sign guest book

7:00 Photos completed – wedding party joins mingling

7:20 Guests locate their seats

Dinner, Toasts and Dancing
7:30 DJ begins playing music
Guests take their seats & drinks are served
Bridal Entourage entrance (see attached list)
First Dance of Bride and Groom

7:45 Dinner Prayer

8:15 Speech
MOH Bestman

8:30 Parents’ Dance
Bride and Father
Groom and Mother

9:15 DVD Montage

10:30 Cutting of Cake

10:45 Bouquet Toss
Garter Toss

11:00

all I know is my cocktail hour begins at 6:30 & reception at 7:30

okay here's a really dumb question - do you make your own schedule like that or does the reception hall kind of figure it out for you????

I think both
I know that I have to talk to my Maitre D' and ask for his/her opinion since he/she will oversee things anyway. I'm also thinking of giving one to my DJ, so they have an idea how I want my wedding to flow.
