I am getting married at a church and the reception is at the HWC. On my invites I put 'reception to follow' on teh bottom of the main invite. I've already approved the proofs and today my mom says, 'are you supposed to have reception to follow if the reception is at a different place?' What do you think? is this an awful mistake? There will be a separate reception card.
we haven't done the wording on ours yet, but that's what we're going to say, i think.
We didnt waste the money for a seperate reception card. we wrote reception to follow on the invite!
reception to follow is fine as long as its the same place. i don't see the point of using a whole other card for 3 words.
we put everything on one card (see in my album) and it looked just fine

No its fine, as long as there is not huge gap in between you are ok
Now we had to do a seperate card b/c our reception starts 4 hours after.
As long as you are going from the church to the hall you are ok
ETA: I just reread that...did you mention WHERE your reception is????

Yes, we have a separate reception card.
