de Seversky has a room that holds a maximum of 150. I'm not sure what the minimum for that room is, though. I can't imagine that they'd require a min. of much more than 100.

Good luck!

Riviera I had to guarentee 120 or 130 for a Sat. night.

Milleridge Inn - Carriage House had a smaller minimum than the Cottage, which was 110.

Ariana Waterfall has a package for 100 people.

Douglaston Manor, if you got only the Grand Room (not the complete ballroom), or the Conservatory, their smaller room.

Fox Hollow was a guarantee of 120.

Maybe you should check Watermill, Verdi's, Swan Club, Chateau Briand and places that have more than one room. My sorority has had formal's at all of those places, and we always had a smaller room with a guarantee of 60-75.

Hope this helps!

Well, of course I'm biased to DM, but don't settle if you don't love it.

Shop around some more, and talk to the banquet managers and see if they can get the limit lowered. In most cases, they will be willing to work with you.

You should check out Wedding Sites & Services...it's a magazine that has all the venues for NYC-5 boroughs, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester. It tell you average prices and minimums too. It was only $5, but worth every penny when I was researching.

I'm sorry you didn't love it. Was it set up? Go to the showcase and see if you like it better when its all dolled up.

I don't really have any other choices b/c everywhere I looked that would give me a small minimum for a Sat night.....I found something wrong with that I really didn't like. Plus I did get that 'warm fuzzy' feeling at DM, b/c I didn't want a place that looked like a catering hall.

Check out Villa Lombardi's, Lombardi's on the Sound, Garden City Hotel, Fox Hollow, Roslyn Claremont, Sans Souci... I am sure there are more. Take a look on the Reception Guide which is found on this site on the main page. It has a list of all places and their capacity from small to large. Good luck!

George Washington Manor might. I also believe the smaller room at Milleridge Inn (the Carriage House) is only 100.
