Reception Venues: How to chose??

Reception Venues: How to chose??

Sunday 11/19, FH and I will be visiting with Glen Island Harbor Club.

I also left messages for Glen Cove Mansion and Fountianhead in Westchester to call me back and schedule an appt.

Any thoughts/suggestions on these venues would be appreciated. Also what should I be asking them in regards to hosting my wedding?

Re: Made my first appt to see a reception venue.

A place like the Glen Cove Mansion has a site fee, make sure you ask what that fee is. And if you use their caterers what they charge, but you can bring in your own caterer as well.

Fountain Head is gooorgeous! I looved the cocktail hour.

Good Luck!!

I have been to Glen Island (my brother got married there). I really reccommend it - it is beautiful and the food is soo good!

I heard all good things about Founainhead. ... I also like V.I.P. in Wetchester.

I am in a wedding next week (11/10) at Glen Island. I will post details to everyone afterwards. It's supposed to be really beautiful. My friend is so excited!

I posted on this on the BHB board.

Love Glenn Island, went to a wedding there last year.

Wasn't crazy about Fountainhead.

Don't know anything about Glen Cove Mansion.

Good luck

I think I am leaning towards GIHB - our good friends are also getting married there in July. I hear it's phenominal!
