Reception Venues on East End

I've just started planning my wedding and started looking at reception venues. At first I wanted to have it at a vineyard so I started looking into those. With all of the site fees, I really do not think I could afford a wedding at a vineyard on the North Fork. We only looked at 3 catering facilities so far: East Wind, Geogio's and Vineyard Caterers. We were hoping to have our wedding the summer/fall of 2011 but it looks like those dates are booking up fast. Does anyone have any other reception venues that they would recommend that we look into? I live in Wading River and my F lives on Fire Island. Also, are most people looking at these places by themselves or are their F going with them? Thank you!!

I looked with my Mom and sister and then when I picked a place I took my FH for the final approval. If you flexiable with your date you'll be able to find something but def. start soon:)

I don't think there are many other places. Not that I can think of anyway. Perhaps, Trumpets at the Gate, Gurney's Inn and there is a yacht or beach club in the hamptons.
