Reception wording

Reception wording

Is it correct to say:

Cocktails and Reception to follow

or

Cocktails and Reception immediately to follow

or

is the Cocktail a part of the Reception and the wording is incorrect

at seven o'clock in the evening...

I have usually seen Reception immediately following.
This would include the coctail hour and most people realize that.

I think you can leave out cocktails - it's just assumed when you say reception to follow.
I am using - 'Reception to follow immediately'

I think you can leave off the word cocktails. I believe you only need to specify cocktails, when that is all that you're having - so that people don't expect a large meal. 'Reception' - implies that there will be a cocktail hour.
