we're going around to the tables too. We invited 300 ppl so it'd be too much

I love the idea of a receiving line...I'll be caught up in the emotion of just having been married. I can't wait to offer hugs to my loved ones and friends in attendance while the emotion is still so raw and fresh. There's alternate exit doors for those who don't want to walk through the receiving line.

I thought about having one since I wanted to really enjoy the reception- I ended up not doing one during the CH- we ended up in the bridal suite for the most of the hour.

We did however once people started to come to us at the dais go around to all of our 12 tables- yes we made it all the tables and saw everyone!

I was so proud to say that as it was a goal of DH and I.

I had one, at the church right after the mass. Even though I had a lot of people come to the church, it moved along sooo fast, it was only like an extra 10 minutes, and definitely worth it to say hi to people.

we're getting married at the RH and decided not to do one. We're going to walk straight to the bridal suite so we can be alone for a little while and then go to the cocktail hour.

i think i am going to end up doing it. it only takes a few mins and i get to thank everyone that actually cared enough to come to the church.

I am not going around to all the tables - so i am going to do a small recieving line - and will be greeting people at CH

Most likely not doing it. We really just want to get out of the church and get straight to the RH to freshen up, relax a bit and take our pics so that we can enjoy some of the CH. I have seen some receiving lines get a bit outta control

we will do one b/c we have a lot of people coming to the church that won't be at the reception. We will still go around to all the tables though.
