recipe swap? updated post your idea - to avoid duplicates - first group closed...but group 2 has room

anyone interested?

I saw this...and thought it was so cute!!!! (see below to Christine's post)

this could help a lot of us starting to cook for our FH/DHs!!!! right now decembers poll is a run away...for any holiday recipe...

ok cool...thanks for posting that pic Christine...

we could do more than one...I'd be more than happy to organize it...

I was also thinking maybe we could regulate the size and we could make recipe boxes that they would fit into....

who's in...should we wait until after the holiday card swap...we could also do it once a month (with themes...dec - holiday)...then really build our collections!!!!

am I getting ahead of myself

all the recipes swaps that I have seen have been on 8.5x11ages. I think any smaller you wont get the whole effect of the decoration on the page!!

I love the once a month, seasonal idea so I can join in later on:D

I think letter size would work. They could be put in page protectors in a binder so they will be decorative, easy to read and protected from spills & splatters.

ETA: or it could types of food: entrees, side dishes, beverages, etc.

OK...should we start brainstorming what to do for each month?

December can be easy...your favorite holiday meal
Jan...cooking light (for NY resolutions) or party favorite (for superbowl?)
Feb...romantic dinner for V day?
March...?
April...?
May...?
June...?
July...favorite picnic item
August...?
September...?
October...something apple related?
November...?

in the ones that we can't think of something we can do main dish...beverage...quick meals...desserts...side dishes... (we could assign that to march, april, may, june, aug...if we want)

I'll set up a list each month...so the number you have to do may change...although lets see how the first one goes....

sound good? I'm up for being the point person...but do you girls want to have it revolving?
