Hi All - I'm starting my search for wedding music and would love nothing more than to have a band!! Does anyone have recommendations, experiences, pros/cons? I feel overwhelmed with the possibilities and need some help... Thanks!!

Is it bad if I say we don't really have a budget yet? I know, I know, we really need a budget. I was hoping to find out the range of prices just by checking out bands. I have an estimate of what we can spend, but nothing really set in stone.
Personally, I could not function without a budget (we are paying for the wedding ourselves). I have heard a lot of good things about Full House. They are about $7,000.

I can't begin to tell you how crazy I feel without one... I'm a full-time student and my fiancee works and goes to class part-time. We just started planning our wedding a few months ago. Hence why I don't really have a budget - I don't know what anything costs and can't figure out what is a reasonable price/fee to spend on bands, flowers, dress, etc. Thanks for giving me a starting point!!

We are using daybreaks Night-- another Franklin Wayne band.

Bands will range from 4K up to 12K or so. Get a range and see the bands in that range.

You have to look at all the Franklin Wayne Bands they are amazing! DayBReaks Night Heart and Soul (my favorite) Vision Timepiece I think the last one is Extreme

We are using Soul Revival. I saw them at a friends wedding and loved them. They were amazing! I think I like best that they are all young, and reasonably priced My wallet has set the budget...so it was one of the first questions that I asked.

I would say the majority of the most well know bands on LI are between 4K-7K for basic packages.

I saw Times Square Orchestra at Rob-luvs-me's wedding and it was honestly the most awesome band I've ever seen at a wedding. I generally prefer DJs (I prefer original artists) but these guys are awesome.

Band at Land's End
I went to a wedding at Land's End last year and the band was awesome. The Matre D told me it was the house band, but I forget the name. Does anyone know who I'm thinking of? During dinner the rest of the muscians took a break while the lead singer sang and played a keyboard and circulated through the tables...

I used Peter Greco and highly recommend him. He's not that well known because he doesn't do showcases, but his musicians are amazing and had the crowd dancing all night long. They play music from every generation.
I've also been to weddings where Arcadia and The Projekt performed and they too were amazing! Good Luck!
