Has anyone gone to any really great all-inclusive resorts? The most important thing to us is probably the quality of the food. If the food is bad, I'm not happy!! I've found a few different resorts (Excellence, Paradisus) but keep reading a lot of mixed reviews on sites like Trip Advisor and Yahoo. I'm really coming up against a wall with this honeymoon!!! HELP!!!!

I totally recommend Dreams Cancun Resort and Spa. We went last year and it was incredible. FH loved the food and I can't comment personally because I eat like a 5 year old and I never like anything.

Mary, I've heard some very mixed reviews on the food :( We like to eat at gourmet restaurants for special occasions, so on our honeymoon I really would like very good food. I'm so glad Debi and 'the Fred' had a great experience!!!

Have you read the reveiws on tripadvisor.com? They're all from people who have gone to these places and they're fairly unbiased.
From what I've read so far, Excellence Playa Mujeres sounds great.

I know. I'm in the same boat as you. I've been reading ALOT of tripadvisor reviews. And frankly, I'm tired of it. LOL. I've only been looking at the All Inclusives that have been rated 5 stars by them and going from there. Excellence and Couples seem to be the best so far. I think I have only read 2 negative reviews about Excellence Playa Mujeres though. The resort hasn't been there very long.

Well, after reading and reading, we decided to book Excellence Playa Mujeres! There's really no commitment-no deposit or anything, and you can cancel up to a week prior with no charge or fee. So I did it!! Thanks for the advice, I needed someone to tell me to stop the insanity with the trip reports. xox

Re: Recommend Best All-Inclusive Resorts Please!!!
we go to the the Paradisus Punta Cana every year. Food is very good for all-inclusive (some of the best we've had at any all-inclusive) and the price is great.
There are alot of people there on their honeymoon I would just prefer an adults only place. We're going to Sandals Antigua. We need something that has some sort of nightlife and Antigua has casinos as does the Paradisus.
We went to Isle Mujheres last year and it was beautiful but very quiet. I know Cancun is near by but not looking for the spring break nightlife either.

I stayed at the Paradisus in the Riviera Maya and it was amazing. The food is soo good and hotel grounds are beautiful. Here is a review I wrote on tripadvisor.com.:
The review also has some pictures. If you have any other questions FM me.

Re: Recommend Best All-Inclusive Resorts Please!!!
I would recommend Le Blanc in Cancun or any of the Secrets resorts in Mexico. I think they just open 2 new ones in the Riviera Maya.
FH and I consider ourselves to be foodies and this is definately a large consideration for us when we go on vacation. The food at both Le Blanc and Secrets was very good. Definately above average for an all-inclusive.
Keep in mind that no matter what all-inclusive you go to, you will never get Daniel quality food. I think that would be unrealistic.....

Re: Recommend Best All-Inclusive Resorts Please!!!
this summer i went to secrets capri in riviera maya... it was a couples resort (no kids), the place was beautifull, the beach was amazing, and the food was soooooooooooooooooooo good!!!!!!!! we were amazed at how good the food was
also last summer i went to 'sunscape the beach punta cana' in the dominican republic... that wasn't an only couples resort so there were families there but the food here was also very very good... the beach was not that great but they had a huge pool

I'm looking into the Couples and Sandals resorts in Jamaica. I love that they are adults and couples only.

The CuisinArt Resort in Anguilla is supposed to have 5 star restuarant food.
Re: Recommend Best All-Inclusive Resorts Please!!!
Just got back from the Occidental Grand in Aruba... AMAZING
I went to Sandals St lucia for my honeymoon...and my mom is a travel agent so I've been to a lot of resorts.. The Occidental was by far the best all inclusive resort I've been to... 6 restaurants and each had better food than the last, the drinks were strong, facilities were immaculate and the pool was outrageous. You can;t beat the white sandy beaches, crystal clear water without waves. We spent hours each day floating on rafts in the ocean. No rain, cool breezes, and the main strip outside the hotel felt like you were walking around in the US. Loved it!
I'm a traveler and rarely like to go to the same place twice. I would go back to the Occidental every year.
