Recommend your: Bridal Salon

Hi Ladies,

I am starting to shop for my wedding gown this month. Originally I planned on checking out a few places in the city, but I want to bring my grandmother so we need to stay on Long Island for this first trip-- go to someplace that will make an appointment.

Any suggestions?! Thanks

i loved lilettes...not so much the store but the person who helped me (gerri). she knew exactly what shape would work on me but was patient enough to let me try on anything and everything I wanted to even though in the end she was 100% right with her pick.

However...lilettes is a pretty small store with small fitting rooms. not really a glamorous store for a first appt.

I went to Helen's Bridal and LOVE THEM! They are located in Commack.

I did MOB dresses here and they were very helpful. It looked like they had tons of Maggie dresses there for the brides and no pressure for buying.

Amazing amazing amazing. Bought my dress in January and they have been so great ever since. Great customer service, great selection love it there!!! ETA just realized you said you need LI... so sorry but when you are ready for the city you have to go to Kleinfeld!

I went to Bruidal Suite in Bay Shore. I worked with Mary Ellen and she was great. She was sooo patient!

I went to Village Bridal and Lillettes & liked both. Gerri helped me @ Lillettes, in fact I wound up buying my dress there. It's not a huge salon but she was soooo helpful.

I got my dress at the Wedding Salon of Manhasset, and met with Rosemary who was very nice.

THIS!!! Had a great experience. I brought all the dresses I picked out from magazines with me and was not in love with any of them. Then the consultant I was working with (Darnell) brought out my dream dress and just told me to try it on- I looked no further! I love my dress!!
