I'm planning my first trip to Long Island since I began wedding planning! Besides getting an authentic NY bagel and visiting my RH for the first time I was considering checking out someone for hair and makeup.
I was wondering if I should get my hair and makeup trials now, since I won't be up to NY again until a week and a half prior to the wedding? I know I should probably book one now, but can I wait on my trial?
My wedding is in Huntington and I'll be staying close to Commack, so I need someone who is close to there or who can travel there.
Also can anyone recommend a good nail salon while I’m there?

I highly recommend Elena of the Bridal Touch (an LIW vendor) for hair and makeup. I had my trial with her and loved it. Photos are in my album. She also did airbrush on me, which I loved!

For hair I am using Angela... She does awesome work!
She comes to YOU, And she does FREE trials! As many as you want too!

I'm still working on finding a hair person in Huntington, but I definitely have a nail salon that you should visit!!
It's on Larkfield Rd. (which is between Huntington and Commack). They are called 1 Nails. Here's the phone # and address.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! They are VERY VERY clean, but besides that, get this...
They have a guy who is designated to massage people while they are drying. He always does at least 10 minutes (unless it's super super busy) and he is WONDERFUL!! Sometimes I go just for that stress relief!!

PS I forgot, Nails in Commack Bocu salon. (I did have my make up there, it was caked on....& my hair was GREAT, but she no longer works there...)
