Re: Recommend Your Tuxedo Place
We got ours from Feldman Esquire in Lynbrook- DH rented his and also the GM also rented theirs- the whole thing I think cost about $130.00 including suspenders and cufflinks and shoes.
We went there on a recommendation from his BM, who rented there when he had to attend a party at the White House when Bill Clinton was president (not joking he seriously went to a party at the White House!) and I had seen the tux that he rented before and I was impressed, tux, hat and the whole nine yards for that party... even a walking cane.
I also figured that if it's good enough for that party at the White House then it's good enough for my wedding.
We also had looked at another tux place in Carle Place- Tuxedo Park and we were going to go with them but the trip to return the tuxes the next day would have been to far for FIL to drive there. They were really nice and professional and I heard nothing but good things about them.

same here. we went to feldmans on a recommendation from one of our GM who got married 2 yrs ago. The whole rental is $130 with the grooms free and FH chose a beautiful Polo Ralph Lauren tux that just came in new. I knew it was probably expensive to rent but luckily we had to pay nothing

Re: Recommend Your Tuxedo Place
Hands down Ginos in Farmingdale by route 109.
We live practically around the corner from them which is why we chose them (well their GREAT price had something to do with it- it was a special, dont know if its still on)
What I loved is that they are able to accomodate OOTers - they can get measured at a place by them and either send back a card GInos gave me or they can put their measurements right on line.
They also have EVERYTHING right in stock so if their are any issues the day of, the guys can go right therre and switch it out. Another place we went to didnt have that feature.
They have been aound for like 100 years and are very knowledgeable - they even did a thing for LIve with Regis and Kelly!
Edited to add: My FH's was free with the guys rental

We were one guy short in order to get the free grooms rental but I really did love the tux that DH picked out- idr what designer but it was really worth the $130.00- his also came in new as well if I recall correctly- I felt that was reasonable price to pay for a tux though.
DH's BM gifted him the tux rental also I found out after the wedding so that was also a plus for DH.

Re: Recommend Your Tuxedo Place
We were going to use Tuxedo Park because it is the house recommended Vendor but my FH is worried that none of the groomsmen are going to be thrilled with the $200 + rental. I need to see if they have a cheaper Tuxedo. What are your groomsmen paying if you don't mind me asking?

Re: Recommend Your Tuxedo Place
Yes I liked Tuxedo Park even despite the price but I was glad that Feldman- Esquire was reasonably priced for the GM since I didn't want them paying $200 either for a tux rental at Tuxedo Park.. I couldn't see the GM being thrilled with that.

Re: Recommend Your Tuxedo Place
You know what it is, I can't justify a $200+ RENTAL when my bridesmaid dresses cost about that much and it's there's after the fact. These get returned. All my bridesmaids and groomsmen ae either couples or husband and wife so I can see there arguement as well. My FH tuxedo is gorgeous at Tuxedo Park. I wonder if I can just get his there and everyone else someplace else.

Re: Recommend Your Tuxedo Place
Men's warehouse - great selection, friendly service and locations all over for your groomsmen to choose from. FH has been to them before. Last year he was in a wedding that used dante seller in westbury - Tuxes were very sharp but expensive. Men's warehouse were a little nicer and 1/4 the cost.

Re: Recommend Your Tuxedo Place
I just received a post card from Dante Zeller in the mail for Free Groom Tux rental Plus $200 off your entire wedding Party (with 5 paid attendants) I assume that means paid rentals.
